Chatbox stuff

So. Since no rules were originally layed down, I'll just thumbtack this notice onto a baby seal's head so everyone can see.

::. No harassing another user in the chatbox. A chat moderator shall warn you if you do so. A chat moderator may also warn another chat moderator if they are stepping out of line .::

::. Religious and political discussion is unadvised in the chat, but not off-limits. If there are any sparks, a chat moderator is to warn you and is free to kick people however they please .::

::. Spamming the chat box is retarded. Don't do it. A chat mod is free to kick you as they please .::

::. Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. Don't be a dumbass and use your head to figure out what else is not allowed .::

Also, here's a list of chat commands. Some are moderator only.


/clear --- Delete the messages from the Chatbox

/cls --- Same as the '/clear' command

/ban --- Ban a member from the Chatbox. This command must be followed by the username to ban. (ex: /ban username). Once the user is banned, he won't see neither have access to the Chatbox.

/unban --- To unban a user from the Chatbox. Its use is identical to ban (ex: /unban nickname)

/me In the beginning of a sentence, this command will be replaced by your username (ex: /me eats a delicious pizza" will display "Nickname eats a delicious pizza")

/kick --- Disconnect a member from the Chatbox. The command must be followed by the username to disconnect (ex: /kick username). Disconnecting a user won't prevent him from reconnecting.

/exit --- Disconnect from the Chatbox. You can also precise the reason that will be visible for all members connected (ex: /exit reason)

/abs --- Send a message noticing that you're absent. You can add a reason that will be displayed in the message and visible by all members connected to the Chatbox (ex: /abs reason)

Current Chatbox mods: Patches, Snowy, Admiral Ji, UrbanEvolution

Chatmods can be identified with an '@' before their username. E.g. "@Snowy"

Why do people roleplay in the chatbox we have a forum for thaaaaaatt.

"CHAT"box.

"RP"Project.

I am mostly whining. I rest my case.

Is there a technical reason that some people can't RP in the forums, as intended? If there is a reason, then I will look into fixing it, but if not, please use the forums if at all possible.
