| You play as a human teenager with some sort of problem. That problem may be a fear of the world outside your bed room, you are in a hospital, something along those lines where you are trapped in a room and something is wrong with you. Anyway.... you spend most of your time dreaming. As soon as you start dreaming (you may wake up from time to time and do something. Events while awake usually have small effects or no effect to the storyline.) you come to this place called The Nexas. It is a void with nothing but doors that lead to different worlds that reside within your (messed up) head. While you explore these worlds, you may run into other dreamers (characters), events, and you may find dream powers (Powers mostly created by you that help you explore the dream world and have fun). Soon enough you find out that the dream world has a major problem. It is under attack by a humungous demon named Noir'para that is threatening the peace of the dream world, corrupting it so no one and nothing can escape or survive in it once it gets in. The dreamers must find 10 dream crystals within the worlds and bring them to The Nexas to seal away the demon with their dream energy, before Noir'para can corrupt them with his dream energy. Once they succeed.... well.... this is the part where I must do this
I WON'T TELL YOU
That's right. I was so lazy I didn't even make a plot background. Deal with it.
Worlds: (Worlds are the places where dreams take place. There is one world per character, and they are all connected by the Nexas. Please note, that the world should make sense with your character... Their background, and the reason why they are trapped in a single room.) Me: Enter/exit: The drugs that the hospital gives to Orchid make her feel sleepy after a while. Once she falls asleep, she will find herself being warped into the Nexas. To exit, she must blink 3 times really hard. World name: Optopia Door appearance: The door is a nice, wooden door with engravings of rabbits and flowers on it. In the middle of the door is a large engraving of what appears to be an eye. World description: Optopia is a rather peaceful looking land, with small towns, huge meadows, and creatures of all kinds. You must beware, however. Venturing to far past the quiet meadows will result in the discovery of a place where cruelty and terror run amuck, and many large and ferocious bloodthirsty creatures reside among the thick fog, filled with the scent of rotting flesh. Oddly enough, many of the creatures in either area have rather large, or many eyes. Many of the people in the towns seem to be odd creations of imagination that don’t look anything like real animals, and usually their eyes are there most notable feature. At night, the forest twinkle and glow as if you are being watched. Memory: Many of the things that reside in Optopia come from Orchid’s early childhood memories. Many of the creatures that live there are from her memories of fear and delight when she went to a zoo when she was younger. The odd eye creations are all painful reminders of her disability and shame. Perhaps these creations were to help her feel less ashamed of her eyes, some of the creations look at her as an outcast, but many of them are nice to her.
Mata: Enter/exit: After falling asleep, Gabriel wills his dreamself to sink downwards and have the bedsheets envelope him like a liquid. He will then float for a few seconds before alighting in the Nexas. To wake up, he must rub his eyes. World name: Vida Mechanica Door appearance: The doorframe is covered with dials, switches, levers, and buttons that appear to be in different formations each time they are viewed. The door itself is unremarkable, made of oak and polished, though showing faint signs of age. Upon opening it, one may pass through into a void of static, such as that of a television, before entering Vida Mechanica. World description: It could be compared to a city, or a dense jungle, or perhaps a ant-farm-like system of aboveground tunnels. Perhaps the most accurate analogy would be to complex circuitry. Links of metallic substance, varying in diameter from three feet to ten miles, intersect in weblike formations. These hollow passageways are covered on the outside by dense foliage, and on the inside by various biomes. The nodes where these strands intersect are spherical and attract gravitational pull. Some are natural while others are robotic-looking. Many ooze liquids. The plants coating the strands’ surfaces range from completely natural to semi-synthetic to outright mechanical. Some such flora possess sapient life, and may scream if tread upon carelessly. There does not seem to be a ‘floor’ to this world. Looking in the direction perceived as ‘down’ will reveal a seemingly endless sky. If one looks too long, they might catch a glimpse of a nightmarishly fleeting creature in its untraceable flight path. Memory: The death of Gabriel’s parents contribute to the bleeding of the nodes, and the sheer vastness of his world is set in place by memories of a time when he did not force himself to stay cooped up in a room all day long.
Jokie: Enter/exit: May randomly falls asleep while playing out her latest story, drifting through her imagination, as it carries her back to the dark and evil places, where her mature consciousness resides, in the nightmares of the Nexas. The song of her favourite nursery rhyme helps her break free. World name: Thur'Goral. Door appearance: The door appears as a wall of stone, engraved with runes and lines, constantly changing, re-enacting the torture of her life. The imprint of a hand marks where she opens it, blood dripping from pores in the surface under contact. In passing, a blazing fire removes her childish nature for a moment, leaving a brief moment where her vengeful mature side can gain access to the Nexas. World description: From the hellish entrance, the world beyond is surprisingly colourful, a mirror image of her childhood imagination. Among the many creatures that roam the green lands and forests, are life-size versions of her toys, always there to comfort her in her dreams. Each dream becomes a new adventure, whether its rescuing one of her toys, restoring the river's flow, or hunting for hidden jewels, May never finds herself bored or unhappy, for the most part. At certain times of the month, she finds that her happy world is attacked by demons that emerge from the place between the door and the Nexas. It is at these moments that her childish nature fades, summoning her own dark creatures to drive out the demons. Memory: Her memories as a child filled her world as she seeked for refuge from her daily self torture. Stories told by her friends only served to create the demonic entrance and the nightmares that would chase after her
Characters (dreamers): Me: Name: Orchid Thompson Age: 15 Gender: Female Appearance: Orchid’s hair is a dark, reddish-brown color, like burgundy and is long and wavy. Her skin is fair, aka very light, and her eyes... well... she is blind so her eyes have become a very foggy looking light blue with no visible pupils. Her hair is usually styled so that 2 locks of it come around her head and are tied together in the back to add a sort of ponytail look. She wears a light blue baby-doll top, in other words it looks like a blouse almost, but the sleeves are very loose, and the bottom is kind of like a built in mini skirt. She also wears black Capri leggings, and white skips. A white blindfold always covers her eyes. And finally, a small, oval shaped gemstone that is like a rose quartz, is the only charm on her necklace that has a thin leather band. Bio: Orchid was your average girl at school. Going to classes, studying for tests, and so on. Unfortunately one day, she caught a terrible infection in her eyes, which caused her to become completely blind. She has been living with her condition for a few years, and only about 6 months ago, her family finally gathered the money to have her eye’s examined and treated by doctors, who will soon give her an eye operation. She now spends most of her day’s inside her hospital room with a few things to keep her occupied as the doctors and nurses come in every now and then to check on her, but she knows she isn’t allowed to leave that room. Personality: Orchid is a very shy, but sweet person. She looks out for others despite her disabilities. She would be the first to do anything for her friends if it wasn’t for her shyness and fear that held her back. A beautiful, yet fragile flower. She is also ashamed that her eyes seems scary to others. Likes: Small animals, soft colors (Ever since she wasn’t blind ), sweet scents (Smelling: One of the only ways to ‘see’ things when blind), acts of kindness Dislikes: Large and/or scary animals, harsh scents, acts of cruelty, people wanting to see her eyes. Other: Awake Powers: Travel: Rabbit whistle. Allows Orchid to summon Hops, the riding rabbit. Significant speed while mounted, about that of an average car. Hops has light blondish brown fur and a white underbelly, as well as brown eyes. Combat: Bell of Hardship. Orchid summons a large bell with a red ribbon on it using her mind. The bell can be used like a mace, and ‘ringing’ the bell by slamming it to the ground can create a shockwave. Social: Bell of Healing. Orchid summons a small bell with a green ribbon on it using her mind. The bell can give minor healing to those who have it rung near them. Other: Scent of truth. Allows Orchid to make tough decisions easier, thinking about decisions that will give a positive outcome will cause Orchid to smell a sweet scent, while thinking about decisions with a negative outcome will cause her to smell harsh, nasty scents. It can only be used once in a while, as it can hurt her nose or give her a headache if used excessively.
Mata: Name: Gabriel Korichnevi Age: 16 Gender: Male Appearance: Stands at 4’ 9”. Weighs a lanky 105 pounds. Completely bald, with blue-gray eyes. Wears black jeans that are skinny at the waist but with baggy legs, and a predominantly blue long-sleeve shirt. His skin has paled considerably over the course of six years, giving him a ghostly look. Gabriel has also (unwittingly) mastered the art of the disconcertingly wide-eyed stare. Bio: Lived the firs half of his life as an average child in an average family. While on the car ride home from the school play one night, his father, who had thought to been rid of epilepsy forever, had a seizure. The vehicle swerved and hit a tree, killing both parents. Eight-year-old Gabriel, not knowing what to do, sat in the car for twelve hours with his dead parents before a passing car stopped to investigate. After the incident (living at an orphanage), Gabriel began to become more and more reclusive. He seldom spoke, his hair began to fall out, and the vast majority of his time was spent in his small cubicle of a room. A partially-understanding-partially-too-constantly-drunk-to-care director delivered Gabriel his meals (never very substantial, Gabriel refused to eat meat) and hid his existence from the truant officers. Eventually, Gabriel’s room became his entire world, a world he escaped from in his dreams. He spends his free time writing, counting objects from his window, drawing pictures, creating riddles and logic puzzles, and dreaming. Due to his fear of technology, Gabriel tolerates no television, radio, or computer in his room. Not that he could afford one anyway. Personality: Though quiet the vast majority of the time, Gabriel enjoys being in the company of others. He prefers to express himself with body language and, generally, every way possible other than via words. Likes: Living things, soft music, aesthetically pleasing shapes and colors, relative solitude, creative language, math (oh how interesting the numbers can be, toying with them for the presentation that suits me the most...) Dislikes: Dead things, machines and machinery, loud noises, horror movies (not because they scare him, because he is insulted that they imply that he would be scared by something as petty as a fictional monster popping out on a screen), being surrounded by any one thing in particular. Other: Awake Powers: Travel: Blink jumping – By staring hard at a location, closing his eyes, and concentrating intensely, Gabriel can teleport to that location. This can only be performed when not being watched, and the amount of focus needed varies directly with the distance of the jump. (I wanted something other than flying. ) Combat: Passive aura of disorientation – Those Gabriel looks at with genuine feelings/thoughts of animosity or aggressiveness, or those who gaze upon him with such feelings/thoughts, experience a brief spell of disorientation/nausea/dizziness, often causing them to lose their balance or concentration. This only lasts a few seconds, hopefully enough time for him to escape, and is beyond Gabriel’s control. Social: Conditional rebirth – By holding an object/entity in his hands, enclosing it completely, Gabriel can infuse new life to a dead creature or simply make an inanimate object more attractive to the eye. Each item he performs this upon will look slightly different to each individual that views it, depending on their concept of beauty. This ability will tax him after each use, making him tired and unable to do it again for a matter of hours (and, obviously, he can only use it on things that are small enough to cup in both hands). Other: Gabriel, in his dream world, can only feel things that he is looking at. Thus, when not viewing a part of his body, such as an arm or leg, it could be chopped off without his knowledge. This makes it slightly dangerous for him to close his eyes for long. His other senses, such as hearing and smell, are dampened when he is not viewing the source of the sound/scent. This means that he can easily pinpoint sources of smells and sounds, but can also make him easy to ambush.
Jokie: Name: Maydelle Seeder. Age: 17. Gender: Female. Appearance: Her blonde hair shows bright red streaks, which contrast with her black denim jacket. Not using makeup to disguise the scars on her face, she has the full image of abuse. Her grey eyes reflect her grey world, and disguise her near-blind state. Bio: It was on the fifth day of November, when she lost her best friend. Snagged by a passing van, she just watched as her world changed. The police gave up, her parents cried as she had to go through intense therapy. But deep down, she was just dying inside. As her condition deteriorated, she found herself getting into fights, not caring about what the world thought of her anymore, she let the injuries come. Rather than be condemned to a hospital, she ran away from home, not pursued by the lazy police. Well away from home, she found herself at an abandoned military base, where other society drop outs had gathered. At first, she thought she got along well with them, until she was attacked by one of the more reclusive in the group. A few weeks later, she simply refused to leave her room anymore. Only the girls were allowed to bring her food, she refused to lay eyes on another guy. They knew what had happened to her, and how terrible they felt for not doing anything. But she was content with her slowly growing collection of toys, her mind pushing the terrible life away, in favour of her early childhood nature. Personality: She acts like a little girl, playing with her toys, creating stories for them, being completely ignorant of the world outside. Even though she has lost most of her sight, she knows who is around her, either being playful or terrified, simply based on gender. That is, when she isn't asleep. Likes: Playing with toys, looking at pictures of animals, making up stories, (what you'd expect a little girl to love about life.) Dislikes: Boys, the dark, dust, hidden parts of her room, going outside, scary music. Other: Awake. Powers: Like any little girl, she dreams about a companion, in her case Ferri, who can take her away from danger should she feel threatened. Should she want to fight back, her red streaks can turn into vicious vipers that keep her safe from harm. One of her more unusual abilities is her healing touch, bringing life to dead plants and animals. But, as a small trace of her hurt 17 year old personality lives on, she finds that being able to summon creatures other than Ferri, brings her nightmares to life, under her command...
Character sheet: Name: Age: (13-18) Gender: Appearance: Bio: (should include the reason why they are trapped, or refuse to leave the room) Personality: Likes: (affects their dream world) Dislikes: (affects their dream world) Other: (If you read all this crap. Please put awake. For your character starts out awake) Powers: (One travel, one combat, one social, and one just for the hell of it) World sheet: Enter/exit: (How do they enter and exit the dream world?) World name: Door appearance: (What does their world door look like?) World description: (Appearance basically) Memory: (What inspired all the stuff in your world? Surely something from your reality?)
THANK YOU

A few questions... What do you mean by 'enter/exit?' Like, how is that different from the world door?
EDIT: My char sheet for now, may edit later:

World sheet: World name: Vida Mechanica Door appearance: An antique television with spider-leg antennae that always seem to want to drag you behind the TV; Gabriel doesn’t know what is on the other side of the device and he does not want to. Enter/exit: On the television is a single dial, which, when turned, replaces the static on the screen with a small, dark gateway that can be quickly slipped through. Changing the channel while one is inside Vida Mechanica is not advisable. | Mata. That is acceptable, except for enter/exit.
Enter/exit isn't for your door at all. It is how you begin to dream and enter the Nexas, and exit dreaming. Example: In Yume Nikki, Madotsuki enters the Nexas by sleeping in her bed, and then going through her bedroom door in her dreams. She exits dreaming by pinching her cheek to wake up.
Remember, the Nexas is where every doorway lies, therefor connecting the dream worlds. In other words, though you have your own dream world, you may also visit another character's dream world.
And the door should have the shape of a door with some sort of fancy details that indicate which door it is.
I'm sorry to be a pain ^.^;

| I like it. I'm thinking a teenager with a father or brother in the military; his world, subsequently, is just one hell of bullets and explosions, a never ending battlefield where he's equal to their expectations or whatnot.
My character needs a bit of work, but I'll post a sheet when I find time.

But, as a small trace of her hurt 17 year old personality lives on, she finds that being able to summon creatures other than Ferri, brings her nightmares to life, under her command...
World sheet: Enter/exit: May randomly falls asleep while playing out her latest story, drifting through her imagination, as it carries her back to the dark and evil places, where her mature consciousness resides, in the nightmares of the Nexas. Stories told by her friends only served to create the demonic entrance and the nightmares that would chase after her
I gotta admit, while writing her Bio, I almost cried at how terrible her life had become...

| Oh look double post wheee~
Name: Orchid Thompson Age: 15 Gender: Female Appearance: Orchid’s hair is a dark, reddish-brown color, like burgundy and is long and wavy. Likes: Small animals, soft colors (Ever since she wasn’t blind :P ), sweet scents (Smelling: One of the only ways to ‘see’ things when blind), acts of kindness Dislikes: Large and/or scary animals, harsh scents, acts of cruelty, people wanting to see her eyes.
Enter/exit: The drugs that the hospital gives to Orchid make her feel sleepy after a while.

| Thanks, I'm worried about choosing the reason why she stays in her room though, especially what it will mean when she awakes for the last time... | |
