Okay, I go by MinaMongoose--usually just Mina--on the Sporum, I love to roleplay, anime/manga, blah, blah, blah, all that good shit. I can draw. I mean, seriously! I'm in a university pursuing my BFA (Bachelor's of Fine Arts), for God's sake!
Also, I recently discovered this neat little competetition thingy held every year for National Novel Writing Month. I am participating this year. If you guys are interested in reading my entry, Paper Tigers , I have a blog on wordpress that will be updated with--eventually--the entire novel. Just don't go lookin' for it now; the competition doesn't formally start until November 1st. I won't be doing any work on it until then.
However, I do have an excerpt that I wrote for the forums to be critiqued (still waiting on said critique, but yeah xP)... It consists of the first several lines. It's rather dialogue-heavy, but should give a good starting feel for some of the characters.
I'll bold it up to avoid confusion with the rest of this post:
"Watch it, Saintesse!"
"I know, dammit!" a young woman snarled as she literally dodged a bullet sharply zipping past her head, "I don't see you doing anything useful, Rune!"
"You can't even see me..."
Saintesse growled, hearing Rune's irritable statement about the obvious flaw in her word usage from her earpiece.
"Just shut up," A kick to the shin and a sharp yank on the gunman's arm ended in a loud shout; he had a harshly dislocated shoulder, after all, "stop watching whatever porn you're watching this time," A foot to the lanky man's abdomen knocked him to the paved concrete floor, "and make yourself useful! Where's the fucking document?!"
"I am not watching-"
"Crap..." Saintesse muttered; an alarm had begun to blare. "Tira... did you trip the alarm...?"
Her only response was the soft-spoken female's meek, embarrassed, "Sorry..."
So yeah, that's all really.

| Well, if you're familiar with the DC multiverse at all, then you could probably figure out that Harley is from the Batman universe in specific. Suicide Squad is basically about a group of DC comics on death row who, if they complete these ridiculously difficult (one might say suicidal) tasks for the US government, will basically be let off the hook (or at the least won't get the lever pulled on them so to speak). Harley Quinn is one of these inmates.
