Vampire: The Masquerade IC (Don't forget your hat!)

She stopped to think for a moment. He probably wouldn't believe her anyway. "I've got no home. As I said, kicked out of the clan. Either I'm sleeping in a cave or somewhere less appealing." She shredded a plastic wrapper to dust under her foot on the concrete.

He pressed his chest to her back for a moment due to her stopping and sighed. He hit her shoulder playfully.

"You're a Torrie, you all don't have a clan love... Hell half your clan are anarchists! All you fucks have to do is WINK the right way and you get a home. I'd rather not lead you to my own home but sadly if what you say's true I'll have to."

She closed her eyes, accompanied by a more controlled breath. She didn't mind the contact that much, it was more the intent behind it. "Oh screw it, I'm not much of a lier anyway." She turned to face him properly, keeping a little bit of space between them. "It's a few minutes from here. Don't be disappointed, the museum gives me scrap on wage for night guard duty." She began walking away at a brisk speed. Wouldn't be hard to get back anyway.

He followed after, keeping pace as best he could. He hoped it was at least an apartment; the neighbors would make for an excellent snack if he didn't drink up the little morsel in front of him. Sure, he couldn't get it up since he was dead. Didn't mean he couldn't tell when a woman looked amazing, gorgeous, sexy, or any of the OTHER abused synonyms. He wasn't blind after all.

Arriving at the flats, she hurried up the stairs until she was outside her door fumbling for the keys. Opening the door, she stepped inside and kicked off her shoes, almost immediately lying down on the bed. The TV was humming away random shows, more to distract her from silence than anything. Rolling onto her chest, she just gave up on concerning herself with the other, getting some much needed sleep instead.

He stepped in and respectfully slid out of his shoes. So this is where normal people lived huh? Usually these Torries were rich what with everyone obsessed over their beauty or artisian-ness. This just.. yeuck. He saw the woman actual attempt to go to sleep and closed the door.

"It's barely one o'clock and you're already going to sleep? Sun don't rise for another three or four hours, sweetheart."

She groaned as his constant speaking interrupted her rest. "I've been dozing off for quite a while now. Gimme a break." Still, she couldn't help but glance out the window to gauge the position of the moon. More sleep couldn't hurt surely.

"It'd be a shame if you went to sleep and I just left your blinds open for some sunshine to hit you.. Wouldn't it..?" This broad was getting annoying. He had matters to attend to but was thirsty; surely diablerie wasn't all that bad.

She looked at him from her position on the bed. "Alright alright... Alright!" She stormed over to the window and yanked the blinds shut. Fortunately she saw no sign of police pursuit. She had moved housing several times in order to throw them off, and she was legally dead. Returning her attention to the room, she slipped her hands in her pockets. "Well? What is it you want?"

He chuckled. He loved this part of the job. He looked directly at her, feeling his blood flowing through his veins. And thusly dominate took over.

"Close. The. Door."

The command would seem almost irresistable. He was two generations over her so a simple command would be easy enough, hopefully. But this made him thirstier.

She walked over to the door and promptly closed it, looking almost catatonic for a moment. The effects broke quickly after, leaving her with a slight headache. "You could've just asked, y'know. I was getting cold myself, no big deal. " She shook off the headache and stood up fully once more.

He placed an arm on her shoulder and sighed at the idiotic truth. He nibbled at his lip and spoke slowly.

"Tell me... Do you have any blood here? If not, you're a bit screwed... Because I'm severely thirsty... So.."

He slid his hand down her arm. She was more beautiful than some of his cousins that he had hit on.

She rolled her eyes and walked over to the small bench that contained the tiny oven and sink. To the side was an equally small fridge. Reaching into the latter, she grabbed a hospital drip filled with the bright red fluid. "I had to beg for this lot, don't screw me over once you've had your fill."

"Beg? I thought you torries did your little sensual dance, one of those rubbing numbers and they were all in your lap. Tch, some Kindred you are."

He quickly grabbed one of the bags and put it into the nearest microwave, letting it get lukewarm before chugging down the contents like a frenzying hound finding a new shipment of meat.

She gripped the edge of the bench tightly. "As I said, I had all connections cut off. I can't just 'seduce' to get what I need anymore. If I stuff up, and there's always a good chance of that, I've got no family, no hiding, nothing to fall back on. Some vampire who works the night shift at the hospital finally gave me this, wasn't easy y'know."

He turned and laughed, walking up to her. He ran a hand through her hair; crimson. For a vampire. Bit odd, almost a giveaway to someone with the right level of intelligence. He smiled.

"Why don't you just go to an Elysium then? Blood-dolls love Elysiums for some stupid fucking reason."

She rolled her eyes again. "Are you trying to tell me something? Because I'm really not in the mood for riddles." She grabbed a cup out of the cupboard and filled it with water. The coldness of it helped resharpen her senses. "My last one had some sort of sickness, and it's obviously making me grouchy. Just cut to the chase before I really lose it."

He ran and ran and ran. He finally felt safe. Thank god he was legally dead. He was near the apartment he rented under an alias. He fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.

His pride as a Giovanni got the best of him; his beast too, but of course that was a rare occasion. Letting out what was almost a gutteral roar he bit into the toreador's neck, drinking slowly of the vitae before cutting himself short. This taste was.. It was GOOD. It was wonderful it was.. It was the closest thing to addictive he could feel anymore. His eyes were blank and he stumbled back, falling onto the floor.

She whipped around in an instant. "What the hell was that for!" Pressing her hand against her neck to prevent more blood for escaping, she used her free hand to search for a tea towel. There was ice enough in the freezer. After a few minutes of locating the towel and tediously placing ice cubes into it, she pressed it tightly against her neck, washing her other hand thoroughly. "If my clothes have stains..." She chewed down on the sentence and paused to think.

He looked at her, still dazed. He was panicking at this point; he could actually HEAR his beast talking to him. It was like one of those voices you heard; like the Darkness from the videogame with said name. A dark, raspy voice, with odd sounding pitches.

Take it all; become more powerful..

He cleared his throat and spoke. "Listen, fledgling, I know this means nothing but.. Arikel may have been found. Your Antediluvian."

Her expression turned to pure confusion. Arikel? Antediluvian? "What are you talking about? And I'm no fledgling either!" With one hand she pulled him onto the bed, sitting down beside him. "I don't recognise either of the names, am I supposed to?"

He breathed out worriedly and spoke slowly. If she wasn't a fledgling or neonate, she was DEFINITELY stupid. "Long ago, the first vampire Caine had three childer. Enoch Irad and Zilla. Enoch had childer... and.. well.. There were these twins; Malkav and Arikel. See an antediluvian is the first of each person's clan and well.. Arikel was the first Torrie. She's been sleeping ages away. I'm not sure if you're away but the apocalypse, we call it Gehenna, is coming.. A lot of kindred are worried.."

She stood up and began pacing for a moment. "Great, they probably stripped some of my memories when they exiled me, probably to stop me from blabbing." Her pacing continued, the cold of the compress numbing her entire neck. "Why tell me this now? I mean first I wasn't sure what you wanted to do here, then you go and bite me..."

"The biting was... IT... being aggressive. I'll pay you a lump sum to make up for that, I assure you..." He breathed out slowly. "I need a toreador to DRAIN her, so we don't get too strong of another antediluvian. You're very mello so I figured who else should drain her dry... It's quite a flattering gesture.."
