Perhaps I'd better clarify? It's come to my/our/whoever's attention that some users are feeling left out, ignored, like their opinions do not matter, etc, and it might be beneficial to discuss such feelings, hopefully to root out their causes and address these issues. I believe, with some clarification being provided, an administrator or moderator might respond to these concerns?

That being said, I'd like to chip in my own opinion here so bear with me. >w< While it's no secret that people will always argue with other people, I don't believe that this forum as a collective has allowed that bias to creep into the roleplaying arena itself. If a thread does not gain popularity, it is because that that thread simply doesn't appeal to the majority of roleplayers, not because of bias. But yeah, that is just my understanding of the subject.

As for the rest, it sounds like personal beefs that must be worked out between the individuals who are involved, so no point in me addressing that. xP

I leave for three days and look at what my forum has devolved to.

But guys I think you're forgetting the most important thing here: communication. WHO do you think is "elitist"? WHO is being "shunned"? WHY do you think this is happening? WHAT do you think should be done about this? Being all vague and just going "well...i don't think this is very nice of a certain user to..." is not okay. Seriously. PM those you think are "at fault" and have a nice talking to with them.

Well, first off, if you are a new user you will be "recognized" by those supposed "big group" by showing that you can rp at their level. If you don't enjoy that style of really literate rps, then it's best to simply move on and not worry about them. But going out and insulting people like this definitely isn't going to make you any friends.

People form circles, it just happens. They find a group that they love rp-ing with and know that they can trust them to follow the rules, so they stick with rps made within that group. It becomes their sort of comfort zone. It's not they wake up one day and decide to create a rp-ing groups just so they can have the pleasure of excluding others. They simply enjoy rp-ing with those people.

With that thing about threads being ignored, different people look for different things in an rp. They don't like a concept, they don't try to join. Simple as that. It isn't "discrimination" or "shunning," they just don't feel like joining that particular rp.

I didn't really mean for this to become long, so sorry if it seems rude or anything.

Hey, I'm seemingly the only one mature enough to take myself out of the picture and go somewhere better than this.

Somewhere that doesn't have all this crap with '*insert name* is an RP god', 'So and so is the best in the field', etc. People who are at the top of the game don't need attention, it's those who are having trouble improving their RPing ability that do.

But chances are you'll just rebuttle everything I say because the autistic kid doesn't know what he's talking about and everyone who thinks in the same manner does. At the very least people could try to give constructive criticism, just looking at an RP, deciding it's not worth bothering with WILL NOT help the maker improve.

Well my theory is that if your RP has been ignored, it's that people who look at it and aren't interested just don't have anything to suggest to you, by way of improving your RPing ability. I mean, if you're looking for people to offer constructive criticism on your RPs, say so at the start of the OP, like, let people know that you want/need that sort of advice because you want to improve! It also won't hurt for you to just contact people individually and ask for their opinion, it may seem picky but people do that all the time so w/e. >w<

Also, really, I think I can say fairly confidently that no one here looks down on you for being autistic. There are people here with all sorts of different conditions, they just learn to look past that sort of thing.

Ooooookay. So you want us to stop praising people like Osaka and Patches just because they're good and they "don't need it"? Sorry, but I'm not going to give any pats on the back to other random people just so they feel better. Jokie, I personally don't think I've been in any RPs with you, so I couldn't say you did a good post with X or Y, or if you needed to work on A or B, if that's what you're talking about. If anything, the praise received by the bigger names should motivate you! "oh wow, i want to bask in the spotlight too, so i should work harder on my posts"! At least, that's what went through my mind.

And quite honestly I'm getting really ticked off by you constantly throwing out your autism but really that's for another time because arguments suck. But to be honest, could I critique something that I have no interest in, like one of those Dead Space-y RPs? No, because I don't know the subject as well and I would probably be wrong in some degrees and that wouldn't be helpful at all. And look Jokie, none of us think "the same". We all like different things. Just because Osaka makes an RP doesn't mean that I'll join it if I'm not interested. We're not trying to be circle-jerky. /:

I'm planning on stealing thousands of credits in an MMO by running a false "Bank" and then taking all the money, using it to buy a ship, and living in spaec.

That's been done once before and was then publicized all across the internet. Nearly everyone knows about it, it won't work.

On the serious note, this topic was originally called Grievances and since everyone was griefing on eachother I was just trying to lighten the mood with my foul sense of humor.

I have fowl humor too, although the chicken doesn't - there's too much choking.
