Blending In IC

Zephyr had barely left the library when she heard a loud crash behind her. She quickly spun around, and saw a shadow darting along the next hallway towards her. It didn't look human. It looked somewhat like a... dog?
The large animal-like being turned the corner, and growled at Zephyr. This thing was huge! It was purple, with red eyes, long white fangs and sharp black claws. What was this thing? How did it get here? How was Zephyr going to get away?
Her eyes widened, and she began to run. She needed a place to hide, without too many people. Or she could trap it, whatever. She turned around a corner, and continued to run down the next hallway. The giant dog creature chased her.

"Take a deep breath?" What was that supposed to mean?! Did the dragon planet not have air or something? Ed shot him a look of worry, then looked at the portal.

Against his better judgment, he took a deep breath, rolled forwards into the portal, then tightened his grip on the chair, with no idea what would come next.

As Ed entered the portal, he felt a sudden drop in temperature, then suddenly nothing. He could see nothing, feel nothing. Ahead of him, someplace, there was a blast of purple lightning. It danced through the nothingness toward him, engulfing him in static electricity. Then, suddenly, he was there.

Meanwhile, Blaze extended his wings upward after closing the portal. He shot into the air, flying quickly toward the next draconian, one by the name of Zephyr. I hope Khalad doesn't screw this one up...

Khalad landed near the school. He could hear a deep, angry growl from inside then the sound of lokolang claws running on tile floor. His eyes widened. One had gone inside! He began searching for a door, a window, anything to get inside.

Ed rolled out of the portal and panted heavily for several seconds, looking around him. The one thing that he couldn't help but notice: this place was huge. The stone platform they were on had to have been quite high, and the the sun looked huge; if Ed had been in a more scientific mood, he might have hypothesized that as a planet, this world was very much older than Earth.

But he had company, and he had forgotten his manners. "Um, hi?" he said, looking around at the others, human and otherwise.

Safeirika turned, as did Sue'on. Sue'on smiled. "Good, another one made it through!" Safeirika just said, "Welcome to Andragos. Did Blaze pick you up by himself, or did you have another escort?"

"Thanks; it was just Blaze," Ed replied. "So what happens now? Do we wait for everyone else to show up or something?"

For being as important as Blaze made draconians out to be, there sure didn't seem to be many of them. It was enough to make him wonder how many there had been to start with, and how many had gotten eaten by those dog things.

Safeirika nodded. "Yes. There should be at least another one coming, as Blaze isn't back. Hopefully Khalad won't get killed or injured." she said. It didn't escape her notice that the draconian was in a wheelchair, and she did actually know what wheelchairs were for, unlike her brother.

Zephyr continued to run throughout the school, avoiding the large monster. Where the hell could she hide this thing?! Those claws looked sharp, and the creature looked incredibly strong. It would be difficult to trap it anywhere for long, if at all. She decided to just run for the door. A back door, of course. No need to let this thing run rampant on the front school grounds, even if it did eat a few of her tormentors... Actually, it couldn't be that ba- no! She couldn't let this thing be seen. She took a sudden turn, back tracking. The beast looked confused, but followed her anyway. Zephyr escaped through a back door and continued to run.

Khalad's eyes popped open. He'd been dozing in a bush. Woops. He was awakened by the sound of angry lokolang barking. He saw a terrified young girl- must be the draconian- running like a demon of hell was after her. A lokolang followed close behind. Lokolang, demon, same thing. Khalad tensed and jumped out of the bush, drawing his sword and spinning around the face them. "Hey, Fangface! Over here, you mosquito!" he taunted.

The arrival of another Draconian helped Manohar Rose reassure himself that he was not alone in his awe and confusion. This one appeared to be in a wheelchair; he was a skinny fellow, with long blonde hair and a tweed cap upon his head.

Manohar Rose gave him a brief nod, as if the two were merely passersby on a quiet street. In the moments that followed, he scooted closer, until the two were adjacent, facing the brunt of their little group.

Manohar Rose cleared his throat and attempted to strike up a conversation. "So... They picked you up, too...?"

Ed chuckled as something occurred to him. With another human around, he felt much more at ease. He was still a bit on edge, the monochromatic dude was reassuring. Was he some sort of goth, perhaps?

"Perhaps more literally than a lot of people, yeah. Let's just say that when you've got a dragon swooping down at you and a demon-dog trying to eat you, falling out of your wheelchair isn't the best move. So what's your name? I'm Ed."
He extended his hand up for a shake.
