| I think this is for space issues. Another Forum I was on, which was also forumotion, didn't have them enabled because of something about the amount of space they took, and it took too much memory. And the dude said he would have to cut people out of the forum, in order to keep the forum cost free for him. Or something like that.

| I looked into this myself, but couldn't find any way to actually get them enabled. Shame.
Personally, they don't really matter too much and it's just as easy to identify someone with their avatar. Amon-Ra also posted a good reason why I should probably keep it like that. | |
