BloodInTheStool, what time zone are you in? Cause I meant it when I said you posted that at 3:30 am. I am in the eastern time zone, which means you are about 5 hours ahead of me, and that means you are in all likelyhood in britain or similar. Correct me if I am wrong, obviously.
On a scale of 1 to 10, what are the odds that this question involves binary?

OK, just out of curiosity, was I the only person on this thread who was unaware of the female conjugation of the term 'Brony'? Because I just encountered the term 'Pega-Sister' two days ago, so....
And just to be nice, I will now do the following:
*disarms all previously set bombs, explosives, traps, and black paint*
You may now post here without that threat constantly hanging over your head.

XD. As near as I can tell, "brony" refers to anyone outside the target demographic.

Pegasisters and bronies unite man.
Pegasister's can be bronies if they want to be bronies cause 'brony' can describe the large group of fans on a whole, and like Joural said, it's definately for people outside the tagert demographic XD
Joural that sig <3

I know. I want to take it, and just kind of copy+paste the images, and make it so if you watch for 10 minutes it just goes "DERPY!"

yeah. Pinky and derpy- is there a better combo? I think that would make the sig about 20% cooler, in 10 seconds flat.
also, I have something to show you, I think it's pretty cool-

Holy shite, I think I just had a revelation about intellectual property, deadweight loss, and derivative works in pt 4 of that.

"If they took [the pony vids] off Youtube, they'd have killed the fanbase."
...
Exactly! That's the derivative works problem right there! This is a definite case where if they'd been stringent about enforcing copyright and whatnot, they'd be way worse off than they are now. Instead, they're letting the derivative works take off, and they've gotten themselves a devoted cult following.
Keeping a tight monopoly on their characters wouldn't just have denied a bit of spare utility here and there, it would have left the show as an also-ran on the Hub that nobody paid attention to. Instead, they're being smart and egging the fans on.
And then these fans go buy toys, which is what they were after anyway, so it works out for everyone. (is geeking out because that fits in with the senior project)

WOO YOU GOT YOUR SENIOR PROJECT!
And I would certainly put some blame on the brony community in getting me in this deep. I doubt I would gotten very deep if I kept to the episodes on YouTube and not found out about EQD.
And all the music and fan-fics are excellent. I don't know if I'll have buy the official stuff, as I don't often like the appearance of any of them. But if they get the special-features containing DVD out, I might make considerations.

Not done yet, but I'd put it in if I wouldn't get a bunch of weird looks. I'm already doing something about the internet for a bunch of college profs, so...but that's not ponies.
Doctor Whooves, discuss :D

Aw, why not. Everyone's doing it! I plan to incorporate ponies in some way for my environmental biology project. Doing it in Minecraft, remade Luna's Cutie Mark in a spot. But that's a pretty easily mistaken thing. To normal people it's a moon on a blue-purple flag.
And I haven't delved that much into the Doctor Whooves thing. All I know is that he exists and I've seen him from time to time.
