So, I'm looking at a 7 Lore and Occult minimum for this motivation? I see, I see. Might have to make things that make me better at those, first.

Naw, making your own is more fun.

I can has free notepad and pencil when game starts, you know, so I can do theoreticals in the field.

There are charms that will reduce the minimums, particularly for artifacts made mostly of moonsilver. I'd also count a 3-dot Int(Lore or Occult) specialty as a dot when considering the minimums. I'd have to look at the crafting rules again, but at least you wouldn't take penalties if you maxed those specialties.


So to be clear, your choice is...

If you want, I might find a way to introduce Craft(Genesis). That's always fun. I had plans in the works to make exploding lemons, but didn't quite get around to them. Instead, I did a small project and revolutionized agriculture forever.

If you want to take esoteric crafts, I might make those a specialty of some sort, as in Magitech will require at least a one-dot specialty, as would Genesis.

Yeah, it's sort of genetic engineering, almost. Only more fun.

Either/or. Just so long as I have some idea before you start embarking on it, so I can have an idea of how your character should come across it. Genesis is largely lost to the ages, so you really have to know where to look to find it. Or have it find you...

Depending what for, probably. Exalted is all about thematics. Also Exalt blood, although that might permanently tie your creation to you. Godly benefaction might be possible, since you have occult connections.

That would be hard enough that I would let you take that as a motivation - and I'll even add a caveat that you wouldn't have to achieve outside-of-world peace (aka with the Fair Folk, Yozis/Infernals, and the Underworld). Although the chances that you'd actually succeed are pretty low, it's definitely worth a shot.
