| Those stop physical shaping attempts. Your mind is still open to degradation (as always), and you can pick up permanent limit other ways, too. There's a separate charm that protects your mind.
Some knacks inflict Permanent Limit as well. | |

Yes. Only the higher gods, like the Incarnae (Sol, Luna, and whatnot) and gods of concepts (and members of the Celestial Bureaucracy), are actually sentient, though. The gods of individual items (aka the Least Gods) aren't sentient. There are a few sorceries and Solar charms that can awaken least gods, but it's not a particularly common thing to do.
The least gods are one of the ways Exalted physics work. When swords spark as they clash together, it is because the least gods of the swords said "oh hey, we're being hit together. The rules say that sparks should happen." And thus sparks happen.
Exalted sort of works on a mutant hybrid of animism, Greek polytheism, and metempsychosis. | |

| If you built an artifact desk that counted as a Master's workshop (or whatever the highest degree of workshop is), then awakened its least god, it might give you a bonus to crafting rolls.
Actually, that would be a pretty shiny first project, and now I'm tempted to stat it. I'm thinking that if it contained a good deal of moonsilver components, then it could do things like fold away into a small backpack for portability... I'd have to think about that, but I think you should try it as well. It would probably be somewhere between Bracers of Universal Crafting and Arms of Multiple Manipulation as far as what it would do. | |
