| Hm... how many people are still here? I might start an RP here if there's enough members for one. | |

| I tend to join RPs and then drop out of them out of laziness, but I can try. | |

I was going to quote this and leave this, because it sums up my activity on this forum board (and most others), but then I realized that this single post might actually describe my level of attentiveness in life. Thank you. You liberated me. Back to lurking.

| There's a fairly active amount of members and we still drop by and chat. Just the actual roleplaying is what diminished for the most part. | |

| It's better than the Sporum which I'm fairly certain is actually dead. | |

| The Sporum came back to life.
But hey, this is still better than "da furry life rp".

But hey, this is still better than "da furry life rp". Wait, you mean it survived the two month long doldrum of no new posts *anywhere*?

| Yeah. It's fixed and everyone (or at least a lot of the denizens that were there previously) are back. | |

I guess they really are hanging on for Spore 2.

| The sperum.
Anyways, this is the perfect place to talk about a random idea I had for an experimental RP. So, to save me a lot of writing; basically you don't get to choose what character you play as. Everyone sends me their sheets and I assign them a character.
Thoughts?

| I think someone's going to get pissed off because someone is using their character wrong or they're unknowingly screwing up somebody's history. | |

| ya because its not exactly easy to be their exact character unless you actually made them yourself and i personally wouldnt want someone to possibly completely ruin my character you know
plus they wouldnt have anything to base it from other than the sheet so there wouldnt be any way for them to learn to use them accurately!!

| I can see it working, perhaps, if everyone practically poured their souls into their sheets and described their character and their history as thoroughly as they possibly could, but that's rather time consuming and it's a lot of effort to put into something if you're not going to use it. | |

| Alternatively, it'd work if everyone did the sheer minimum amount of work, and was completely uninvested in what they made, so they didn't care what happened to it.
Interesting twist on this idea though, what if instead of making a character and passing it off, you make part of a character, pass it off, and it goes through everyone before it's finished.

| Hmmm... It is an experiment, y'know? I know that doesn't handle the concerns you two brought up with it. Now, I personally think this might be a great idea, and a way to try something new. That shit. As for people getting mad if their character is done wrong... I really don't know what I can do about that. I think it shouldn't be a major issue, since I trust you all not to bitch. - Jester wrote:

Well, the way I see it; it'd be more of a gift to another.... I should probably stop talking. - Ji wrote:

Alternatively, I can make the character sheets and assign them to people. I think that'd work better than anything, since I could care less if someone gets something wrong. I'm taking all your comments very seriously and thinking about them.

| Well yes, but you doing it is less of an experiment. I've seen that done before. | |
