sdf Balu I think you might have to edit your post. Legs and I had planned to have our characters meet, so that's why I made my post a bit different. Everyone else could either meet up with another person or just drive off.

I did not mention it was exactly you. It could be anyone. Ron? Considering most of the Participators are Males, I made it as Un-exact as possible because I figured you were noting this towards Legs. Based on a previous post.

The only problem that may arise from that... is that I put him in the van. Though, I find this to be an insignificant and minor problem.

Appearance: Akando looks a lot older than he really, coming across as someone who is seven or eighteen instead of just a fourteen year old kid. A good part of it is physical, yes. He's tall, just over five feet ten inches, and has a good amount of meat on his bones for a fourteen year old. He's pretty toned, and actually has visible muscle on him. It's not like he has a six pack and super pecs, but he looks strong and is hard with the stuff. No squishy on him. It might also be his face; his Native American ancestry gives him the strong cheekbones and strong chiseled face. He holds himself high as well. A lot of people joke around that he's trying to live up to the stoic Indian, but he doesn't have to, because he is.
His ebony hair comes down on his face in long choppy bangs that semi cover his eyes and halfway between his neck and shoulders. His skin is a flawless copper, callused on his hands and feet. The other reason he looks older than fourteen is because of his eyes. They're the only thing that gives away his impure Native American heritage. A deep, deep grey that's dull with grief and sadness; quick to light with anger. You can tell they've seen things no person should see.
He dresses as any normal American guy, semi-torn blue jeans, t-shirts, his black ASICS and sometimes hooded jacket.

Personality: He's kind of a loner. Ever has been since his parents died--sorry--murdered. He's always quiet and keeps to himself. He wasn't always like that, though. He used to be the popular kid, always talkative. But yeah, not anymore. He's slow, methodological, will wait for hours for one task to finish before starting another. That's not to say he can't multi task though. He can juggle multiple agendas at the same time, completing them with ruthless efficiency. This, along with some genetic markers and his strong will, is what really singled him out for being a NERV pilot for Unit 08.
Although, if you're able to stay around him long enough, if he warms up to you, he can be quite a friend. Fiercely loyal, never betraying, funny...There's a whole person hidden underneath the hard wall he puts up around himself.

Bio: Akando was raised with his parents on an Indian Reservation in Utah. No, I don't mean he lived in teepees and rode horses to hunt buffalo and stuff. He lived in a house in a suburb that bordered the casino. He had a pretty normal childhood at first. He went to the local school on the reservation, had a group of friends, was pretty popular, and was just normal. That changed when he was eight though. Yeah, that young. He was supposed to be in school, and maybe that's why it happened when it did, but he was home sick. He was up in bed when he heard a loud crash and a scream. Running downstairs he saw a group of men dressed in bulky black suits burst into his home with guns. They leveled their weapons at his mother when his father ran between them, trying to plead. Two shots rang out and blood sprayed like a fountain. Once in the chest, then once in the head. Dead before he hit the ground. Right after they did the same to his mother. Then they looked at him, and stared for a minute, before turning and leaving. It would be another few years before he realized that it was no robbery, no racism fueled attack. It was military; murder. Someone wanted his parents dead. Two days after the killings a letter appeared at his door. There were only five words HE WAS NOT OUR INTENT.
The rest of his life was filled with trying to find out his killers identity. That is, between being shuffled between orphanages and families. No one wanted an unruly kid with a troubled past. The farthest he was able to get in his investigation was tracing the spent shell casings to Howa Machinery Company, a major manufacturing corporation in mainland Japan which supplies civilian goods, but also military equipment directly to the Japanese government and PSIA, the Japanese version of the CIA. By the time he got to this lead he thought he was stuck when NERV sent someone to bring him to Tokeyo-3 with the prospect of piloting an EVA Unit, one that apparently only he could pilot...or at least, so he was told.

Important Details: He is still trying to find his parents killers. Confused as hell about Japan. Besides that...not really.

Unit#: XEVA 08S-Prototype
Weapons of Choice: Akando's specialty is to get up close and personal after hiding away, so he mainly uses his specialized Prog Knife, along with handguns. His patience and accuracy also leaves him naturally gifted with the sniper rifle.

Also, the six plates around the head can move independently to mimic facial expressions.

Combat Specialty: Akando, Native American for Ambush, his namesake and specialty. With Unit 08 he can lie in wait, out of sight, to spring out and whittle away the AT fields before running off. He's gifted in unarmed combat and the use of his Prog Knife, and guerrilla warfare tactics. His accuracy and patience grants him incredible use with the sniper rifle, so long range combat is also a viable option.

Other: XEVA Unit 08S-Prototype is an experimental EVA that utilizes advanced active camouflage technology along with an advanced internal battery and auxiliary power system to give the unit more mobility in the field and freedom to lie in wait in ambush without using up the usual five minute power reserves. The outer layer of the Unit's armour is coated in material that responds to photons of light impacting it, much like a solar panel. While not enough electricity is generated to fully power the EVA, with a power conversion rate of 46.3% it is enough to power the experimental stealth systems, life support, and the main optical camera for situational awareness. In effect, the EVA can lie motionless in wait for the entire day, hidden from view. The photosensitive 'skin' also diverts a small amount of energy to the advanced battery system. It takes around three hours of sunlight exposure to fully charge, and when it is it can power the EVA's stealth systems for around ten hours, effectively allowing it to stay in position throughout the night. Or, the battery's power can be re-routed to supplement the main battery, allowing the EVA to stay powered away from a cord for fifteen to twenty minutes instead of the usual five.
The stealth system uses a system of cameras and plates in the armour that display the image from behind it in real time. Each hexagonal plate in the armour is in essence a pixel. Therefore, a better image is displayed when more even tones are behind it, such as hills or mountains or flat land. The stealth system cannot keep up with the sharp angles in an urban environment, so instead of being hidden, the area where the EVA is looks as if the image behind it is warped.

Appearance: Short story: 5'2" or so, straight black hair worn shoulder-length, blue eyes, tan skin. Her figure is slightly heavier than average; hardly fat, but not slender, either. Her face is one of those that seems to screw up the standard proportions, but somehow work and be pretty anyway. She's well put-together as far as clothing goes; usually she's wearing something like a blouse and some flatteringly-cut black pants.
Personality: Her outlook has gotten understandably more pessimistic over the last few years, starting from what some Americans might consider an all-purpose mild pessimism that is fairly common in Germans. Despite that, she can still find joy sometimes; she just needs someone to help her get out of her shell. She's diligent and determined at heart, a quality that was drilled into her early-on by her parents. She's also rather curious. I wouldn't necessarily call her "broken" yet, but we'll see what happens.
Bio: Uta has no idea who her actual mother is, because she was adopted by lesbian parents at an early age. She's vaguely cognizant of having another set of parents, but finding them isn't high on her priority list (that, and her adoptive parents mentioned something about her mother dying and her father being unable to support her). When she was 11, her mothers took her on a road trip to Austria. However, a malfunctioning set of railway lights put Uta's car on the tracks at exactly the wrong moment. Both of her mothers were killed instantly, and she was severely injured. He's mostly fine now, but residual nerve damage forces him to take painkillers on a regular basis. Since then, she's been bouncing around foster homes until NERV picked her up. She also learned how to use a sword somewhere along the way, because in anime, all Germans know how to use swords. Trufax.
Important Details: Uta believes in sort of a generic afterlife, so she believes that when she dies, she gets to go be with her parents again. Death does not scare her. Then there's pain. Pain is scary. She also has an inferiority complex; in an organization full of guys and previously, a bunch of other kids, many of whom were a-holes, she has an obsession with proving herself. She will do all manner of stupid in the name of proving that she's worthy of being "one of the guys" (all that to say, she's got a vicious cycle of beating herself up in ways that will probably get herself killed). She's tolerant of most people, but not particularly towards Americans.

Unit#: 14
Weapons of Choice: Magorox/shield, gatling gun, with a hand bazooka (or two) as a sidearm. Basically, anything as big as it can fit.
Appearance: The 14 is shorter and stockier than most of its counterparts; the designers figured that making an agility-based mech, then plugging it into the wall wasn't the most efficient choice. Thus, 14 is focused on tanking, standing more or less in one spot, and dealing as much damage as possible: draw attention, then let other people sneak up. The color scheme is red, with white and black accents. The shoulder fins are a bit bigger and thicker than they are normally, for better shielding for the head, and the armor in general… let's just say that this thing is pretty darn heavy.
Combat Specialty: Mostly defensive, but it can pack a punch just because it carries so much shooty stuff on it.
