| Welcome to the Out-Of-Character thread for In The Palm Of My Hand! This is my first RP, so hopefully I can make it run as well as possible. So how it’s going to go is that there’s this big fighting tournament that involves contestants asked to join. These contestants come from both different works of fiction, as well as real life. There are eight teams, and each of these has three people each on them. These teams are then put on a bracket using random numbers, and they are paired up to fight each other. Whoever is the last team remaining wins. The first rounds of fighting will have four fights, the next will have two, and the last one will have one to determine the winner. I’ll make a diagram to put up soon. Maybe. Outside of this, there are spectators. While not actually fighting, they can wander the arena and do things during or not during the fighting. Of course, there is more going on behind the scenes… but let’s leave that for other times. So anyways, important things; 1. Follow all regular RP rules. Just saying this. 2. Despite the fighting aspect, this is NOT A GRIMDARK RP. We aren’t having death, and we aren’t having guts flying all over the place. There may be blood, there may be a psychological part to it, there may be strong language and other adult themes, but this is NOT GRIMDARK. In fact, try to take this light-heartedly for the most part. 3. The fighters in the actual fights have 300 life points. The spectators have 150 since they are not really in the fight. 4. The attacks in the fight are mostly determined by d20 or d25 rolls. 1s will always cause no damage. The higher the number, the more health points the opponent loses. This should be written out as a number in parentheses in the opponent’s next post. However, some moves can have either better or worse odds based on what exactly the move is. 5. When a character is loses their health points, they will be considered “unable to fight” even if they are not unconscious. The fight will be paused, and they will be brought out of the fighting place. After they are gone, the fight will resume. 6. If a team loses, they are not totally out of the RP. They will be allowed to wander around the arena, but they will not be participating. 7. The arena is gigantic. It has stores, food, lodging, and entertainment, not to mention the ten-thousand stall bathroom. Go wild with what’s there! 8. There is magic over the whole arena causing everyone to understand each other if they speak different languages. This shouldn’t be discussed, however, because no one can tell this is happening. 9. However, if a character does not talk, or makes beeps or something instead of talking, he will not be understood my other characters. This is because they don’t really have a language, I think. I may allow an exception or two. 10. There are only two fights per day. There will be plenty of time in between those fights. Use that time to characterize. 11. Accents should be described, not written. 12. There are three judges watching over the fighting to judge as well as give commentary. 13. Before a battle starts, a biome will be randomly chosen (see below). If the biome has an effect like wind, sand, rain, etc., d5 rolls should be made on each post to determine effectiveness. 1 is none, 5 is high. Sand will cause minor damage and possible blinding, wind will blow characters over, etc. 14. I will allow effects or abilities on health points and attack points such as a few HPs for hardier characters, less for weaker characters, gradual recovery for a few characters, etc. Talk to me about it. 15. Things can be linked to if you want. For theme music and stuff, you know? 16. Did I miss something? Tell me. So, do you want to join? The teams are all full, but you can still be a spectator. Here’s the sheet. Name: (Should include nicknames if applicable) Gender: (If they have one) Universe: (The Source material. OCs should be notified by this) Appearance: (Images can be used) Personality: Superpower: Do they use some kind of power of their own? Weapons: If they don’t have superpowers, what do they use? Bio: Other: A list of biomes: - Spoiler:

May cause vision impairment. It does, in fact, snow. 16. Iceberg - A large iceberg floats around in a large pool. Not snowy though. The water is cold and may cause freezing. The iceberg is not attached to anything and can float around. Iceberg is also slippery. 17. Maze - A bunch of stone walls set up in a maze. The walls can be knocked down or blown up. | 1. That's up to you, really... Anything from an omnipotent deity with a thirst for good fights to an unexplained arena could work. 2. I'd say two or three. 3. THERE IS NO REWARD BUT GLORY. GLORYYYYY. 4. Evaluating overall post quality for descriptiveness, effectiveness, language use and staying-true-to-character, and using these scores to determine the overall winner for the battle. I guess you'd have to choose the judges from a pool of non-participating volunteers. 5. Write down a bunch of biomes and arena types and pull them randomly from a hat for each battle. 6. Naw, but I'd change 'superpowers' to 'special abilities' and 'weapons' to 'weapons and equipment.' 7. Uh... 8. Sure thing. :3

| Okay so joining.
1. Okay so there should totally be one uber-evil dude running this. He's weakening the different worlds for the conquering by having their stronger members kill each other off or defeat each other. He promises the charries their deepest desires, as long as they win the tournament. So eventually everyone finds out and then they all team up to fight him. 2. 4 characters. Not too little for the teams to be too scarce, but enough for a good amount of teams and the like. 3. Whatever they desire. AKA, someone wants their waifu to live, it happens. Except...it's a ruse. Because that's totally cool. 4. The judges will be very strict with the rules, but if there's a loophole it will be able to be fully exploited. I'm thinking that maybe there would be three of them, but they'd be a sort of avatars or projections of the one evil dude. 5. ~*~magic~*~. Like seriously. Maybe a dice roll to determine the environment, and then the stadium would transform or they'd be teleported? That way we could have sweet fights in forests and like on floating rocks. 6. Nope nope and nope. Weapons I'd think would be equipment and the like, while superpowers would be innate abilities. 7. fuck i dont know 8. see top

| 1. Mata really hit it on the nose. I'd go with a really powerful emperor with a severe superiority complex. 2. 2-3. Maybe 4 if we get enough. Then give them something that sets them against each other. 3. Glory. Not death. Umm... how about a free ticket where ever they want to go. Or something very personal to each character. 4. No Idea. Perhaps a group of spectators. 5. Crazy fancy hexagon that is connected to the badguys every whim. Able to change it however. 6. Maybe superpowers. But all weapons should be confiscated, and weapons used in battle should be found on the battle field. 7. Something catchy. And involving a major plot entity! 8. Sure.

| 1. There's what the guys suggested, or you could incorporate a Hunger Games-esque plot as well. Maybe the fights are televised to the planets of dozens of races? 2. What others suggest. 3. A trip to DisneyPlanet, lifetime supply of CocaCola, and safe passage home. 4. Like total douchebags to imitate the mods left behind, because nice judges are so... *cough*MasterChef Australia*cough*. 5. A variety of enviroments would allow each to utilise their abilities to overcome obstacles, and promote teamwork. The first however should be plain dirt so players get a feel for the mechanics, without having to worry about being eaten alive by anacondas. 6. Keep them seperate, a weapon implies it has limited ammunition which can only be replaced from others. Superpowers are probably replenished from the individual. 7. In the Palm of my Hand... 8. Maybe... :3 | |

| Alright, so what I'm getting from this is:
Evil Overlord guy hosting event 2-4 characters Asshole judges None or Unknown prize Changing environment (why didn't I think of this?) 4 confirmed players so far (Me, Mata, Luna, ABS) and one maybe.
And no one knows what to call it. :P
Anyways, I was thinking last night about things I could add. The first is an "Armor" section on the char sheets, so that it can justify attacks being nulled or reduced in effectiveness. The second was that said asshole judges could also be crossovers. Who they would be though, I have no idea.

| Well I figured 'In the Palm of my Hand' is a strong indicator of how godlike the host of the arena feels. | |

That's what it will be then. Characters can now be made! Make up to five at this point while the character amount is being decided. Also, a current list of possible terrains so far. - Spoiler:

| First sheet, go~ Name: Drache Pentun Gender: Troll biology is strange for most humans... But anyways, Female. Universe: Homestuck OCs Appearance: Height is about 6' 2". Average considering her blood caste, and age, and that trolls are taller than humans. please note wings and tail are fake costume pieces. I also changed her symbol to a red Draco constellation symbol. Personality: A feisty and fiery young troll, Drache can come off very tough, even scary to some. She is obsessed with dragons, going to long lengths to be as dragon-like as possible. She has a fancy for fantasy things and treasures, as well as listening to great legends. She tends to "raid" villages. In which she got her FLARPing status as a Tyrant. She threatens said villages that she will burn them if they don't give tribute, which is how she managed to get awesome treasures despite her caste making her of the lowest ranks of trolls. Though she can seem very malicious, Drache can be a fun and carefree individual. A bit naive at times, but greatly loyal to her friends. Superpower: Pyrokinesis. The ability to control fire with the mind. Weapons: Drache is very handy with battle axes. Bio: When Drache was still a grub in the caverns, she was pretty much the runt of the litter. This was inevitable though because of her blood caste being lowest of the low. Where she lacked in size though she made up with fire, as she was one of those lucky lowbloods who could possess psychic powers. It's tough, trying to be tough and get respect as a tiny little grub. Fire helps in fights though. Her lusus ended up being a Two-headed dragon who she refers to as Dragonparents. After finally getting out of the caverns and pupating, she made her hive in a Volcano cavern, which happens to be in a Volcanic Desert with many villages scattered about it. She spent her early days as a troll hunting, training, reading, collecting treasures, and FLARPing as a tyrant. Learning about the history of her ancestor, she vowed to carry the flame and take back the throne that was stolen from her and her ancestor. The Traitor, as he was called, put 2 Alternian regions into war, and then took the throne and acted like he was just some good guy ending the war. His descendant now rules the desert that is rightfully Drache's. For now though, as only 6 sweeps (13 years old) she will just train and train and wait for the day she an avenge her ancestor, Pillager Fireclaw. Other: derp | |

Her favorite shirt(the one she will wear at game start) has a black sword shape interposed on a splash of neon orange. her eyes are dark brown, speckled with flecks light enough to almost be called orange. Her hair is black with white stripes dyed into it. She almost always wears jeans, and boots are a must. When something SCARES you while wandering through the forest, which happens MORE OFTEN than you care to admit, you usually end up BEATING IT WITH YOUR GAUNTLETS. Your GAUNTLETS are your prized possession, something your LONG DECEASED GUARDIAN found for you. You type w-with a-a c-constant st-stutter, a-and n-never g-go a-above a-a m-murmur. Superpower: The ability to grow stronger with intense emotion. Weapons: Gauntlets Bio: Basically, Tarruk's job is pretty much to keep those monstrosities that run around the forest in line. Drache is her moirail, thus they share the troll relationship of acting as guardians to balance out each other. If Tarruk is in trouble, Drache will come to her aid. If Drache is causing too much trouble, Tarruk will come to calm her. Other: derp Name: Raenana Waladramos Gender: Female Universe: Alex's OCs Appearance: Reegwallos are an alien species. Raenana stands at 5'7" at her age of 13. I was going to make a pic... I may edit this sheet once I do... But anyway. Raenana has blue skin and gold eyes. Her hair is long and white, in a braid, with just a few mini braids along the sides of her head. Little fangs poke out of her lips, coming from the upper row of teeth. Her ears are like that of a big cat, and her tail like a tiger... A blue tiger. Her feet, like the rest of her kind, are long and claw like. Like very slender long claws, with webbing between the toes. The bird-like wings on her back begin dark brown, brown, and then white. Her clothes consist of tribal wrappings and shaman charms worn for things like warding off evil spirits and inviting the knowledge of good ones. She has some armor too, which seems to be made of a kind of leathery-scaly material. Personality: Raenana is a very curious Reegwallos, but she may act shyly around others who are not her species, until she is familiar with them. She is loyal to her tribe, and is confidant in her abilities as a shaman. She takes her work seriously, jumping to the aid of the tribe when needed. Like the rest of the tribe, water is a thing to appreciate and worship. Fire is a thing to fear and be wary of. Superpower: Raenana is an apprentice Shaman. She can use some abilities with Electricity, an Attack/defense element, Earth, a Defense element, Water, a healing element, and very little fire, an attack element. Weapons: Raenana knows how to use her staff for more than just spell casting. Also, the kick of a Reegwallos can knock a human unconscious, and possibly have the claws puncture a lung. Bio: Attacked by the Nathrax, a kind of humanoid fire fish race, the village that Raenana was born in was sent into flames, leaving a mere group of survivors. In the fear that her child would be killed, Raenana's mother sent her child down a river, after praying to the Reegwallian god to watch over her daughter. For several years of her life, Raenana lived in the wetlands alone. However, she could here the voices of the nature spirits guide her. They taught her how to survive, and began to show her how to harness the elements. Soon she met a young warrior apprentice named Geirwarous, who guided her to the village she now belongs to, reunited with her true family. Other: derp. Just know that Raenana will speak in the language known by her race. She can try learning other words, but she will pronounce them in a very broken manner. Most of the time, she will go by another's actions, rather than knowing what the crap they are saying. Cursive Writ - Spoiler:
Name: Sonic the Hedgehog- Gender: Male Universe: SONIC Appearance: http://images.wikia.com/mario/images/4/43/Sonic_SSBB-3.pngPersonality: Sonic is brash, often insulting, and has incredible self confidence. He rarely speaks, and when he does he taunts his foes, hoping to cause them to make mistakes.(note- I'm not counting the TV shows to get info on his personality because FUCK THE TV SHOWS.) Superpower: Super speed, capability to roll into a ball increasing his defence and allowing him to hurt enemies more, but also reducing his maneuverability, especially at high speeds. Weapons: Bounce Bracelet(allow him to gain air by bouncing off floors, walls, enemies, etc. Flame Ring- allows him to coat himself in a layer of flame when moving at high speeds Bio: Sonic fights against eggman basically constantly, having started fighting at an unknown age and continued battling the world domination obsessed megalomaniac throughout most of his life. The first "recorded" battle with Eggman took place on an island rumored to hold mythical "Chaos Emeralds" that would allow whoever possessed them great power. Sonic went to the island to stop eggman, and was shocked to find that the fiend had used robots to control a number of the islands innocent residents and force them to fight against him. Sonic used his speed to clear the island of said robots in record time, then use the chaos emeralds to force Eggman into retreat. This would prove to be the template for their battles for years to come. As of today Eggman has only once succeeded in gathering the chaos emeralds, or any other group of exceptionally powerful artifacts, and that was with the help of Rogue and Shadow, who did most of the actual gathering for him. He has an adoring fan in Tails, and an adoring hanger on in Amy. We don't know anything about Sonic's past. Other: Is incapable of swimming, but can usually jump far enough to get over bodies of water, and when running at full speed can actually run across it. Name: Casey Junior Gender: Presumed male Universe: Disney Appearance: http://cornel1801.com/disney/Dumbo-Casey-Junior/videosong.jpgPersonality: Casey is seen as jovial, wanting to get the job done Superpower: Come now. Who needs superpowers when you're a living train? (Okay, fine, maybe I'll make fire spurt from his boiler, too.) Weapons: To beef him up a bit, I think I'll give him a turret car. (And you can certainly guess his melee attack.) Bio: In the film Dumbo, Casey Junior is the tender engine hauling the circus train, and even has his own song. Casey appears frequently throughout the film, and is shown to be somewhat sapient. For example, when the Ringmaster calls for all aboard, Casey's whistle can be heard tooting: "All aboard! Let's go!" As is the case with most Disney vehicles, Casey Junior has the ability to move in a more fluid way than actual locomotives, and his boiler is often seen bending and twisting like rubber when in motion. In addition, he can twist and flex his metal body to express motion. He uses his steam cylinders like limbs, giving him the ability to shrug, point and make other gestures. Although a male (according to Casey's song, being referenced as he or him), Casey was originally voiced by Margaret Wright, and he is currently voiced by Cathy Cavadini. While the sound of the voice resembles that of a voice processed through a vocoder, it was actually done with a more primitive device, a Sonovox, which uses one or two small loudspeakers in contact with the throat, which allowed Wright to "speak" by modulating an artificially produced sound with her mouth. According to a cartoon done before Dumbo, Casey was in fact, formerly a passenger engine. He unfortunately crashed after an effort to jump the chasm left by a broken bridge in a storm. In this film,he was of different wheel arrangement, 2-4-0 with the main rod on the forward driving wheel. He also had a bell and wasn't quite as stubby. In his circus work he was a 2-4-0, but his rod arrangement changed to the back wheel, and his bell was removed, and he became more stubby. This leads us to think he was overhauled after the accident and bought by the circus. Other: Casey Junior was named after John Luther Jones a.k.a. Casey Jones and The Brave Engineer. Name: Princess Daisy Gender: Female Universe: Super Mario Appearance: http://static.wix.com/media/c0f62fe669886852ffc4bab0952d9343.wix_mpPersonality: Daisy is described as brash, loud, slightly obnoxious, tomboyish, kind (at certain times), not-so-kind (at others), brave, brazen, short-fused, and cheerful. (In herself, she is very contrasting...) Superpower: In many Mario games, Daisy shows an array of flower-based abilities, including a flower-tipped baseball bat, of all things. However, in Mario Strikers Charged, they take her to the next level. Daisy is shown in that game as able to manipulate crystals, going so far as to raise them out of the ground and do things with them (such as encase her fist in crystal and FALCON PAWNCH things). Additionally, as a Mario character, Daisy is able to utilize the same array of power-ups that Mario, Luigi, and the Toads use (provided that she can get to them). Weapons: Really, any sports item she can pull out of Hammerspace like a cartoon character. Hey, if Peach can do it, why can't Daisy? Bio: During the events of Super Mario Land, Sarasaland, a neighboring desert nation friendly to the Mushroom Kingdom, is invaded by the space invader Tatanga. He hypnotizes her subjects in the country, turning them into his army, and he kidnaps their leader, Daisy. Mario attempts to rescue the princess and liberate Sarasaland. Mario has to travel through each of the four kingdoms of Sarasaland, fighting new enemies at the end of each. Every time he defeats a level's Boss, what appears to be Daisy thanks the hero. However, it turns out that these are simply common enemies disguising as Daisy, forcing Mario to explore another kingdom. In the end Mario finds the real Daisy being held captive by Tatanga. After a long battle in his plane, the Sky Pop, Mario is able to defeat Tatanga and rescue Daisy. The game ends with Mario and Daisy flying away in the Sky Pop. As her subjects are said to hypnotized to attack Mario, enemies such as Pionpi, Tokotoko, and Gao may normally work for Daisy, especially the last three as they appear to be native to their areas. Daisy is known to be a tomboy, a fact first stated in her debut appearance. Daisy is represented by colors like yellow, orange and green. She has an affinity for flowers; her attire, special abilities, personal emblems and general representations are often flowers. Years after her initial appearance, Daisy started appearing in more and more Mario games. This was due to the lack of human characters in the series. She now appears in the majority of Mario games, most often as a playable character. Daisy is good friends with Princess Peach, and she interacts positively with many other characters. This includes Luigi, who it has been hinted shares romantic feelings with Daisy. Daisy has appeared in fourty Mario series games to date, and continues to do so regularly. (Excerpts from the Super Mario Wiki) Other: Not much else. Name: Toad Gender: Male Universe: Super Mario Appearance: http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs39/f/2008/330/d/9/Just_Toad_by_YoshiMan1118.pngPersonality: Toad is happy-go-lucky, afraid of some things (such as Bowser), not afraid of others (such as Wario), and is very kind, moderately childlike, and endearing. He is also not afraid to stand up and take a leadership position. Superpower: Fungal powers. Mushrooms from his spores grow really fast. Toad also has access to all of the power-ups in the Mario universe (though, granted, not at the same time). In addition, he has strength disproportionate to his size (What? He's a Mario character.) and can lift and hurl things like Big Shy Guys and such. Weapons: MARIO PARTY HAMMER!!!! Bio: Toad is Princess Peach's attendant and a long time protector of the Mushroom Kingdom. He is actually a singular character among an entire species of look-alikes (much like the Yoshi is to the Yoshi species). He usually has the role of a supporting character who tries to help Mario on his adventures; however, he is occasionally a playable character and a main protagonist at times as well. Despite being reliant on Mario and the other heroes on times of disaster, Toad has made his own fair share of heroic acts such as in his starring role in Wario's Woods where he saves the Mushroom Kingdom from Wario's antagonistic rule, and his status as one of four hero characters in Super Mario Bros. 2. He once made many appearances in the mainstream Mario games, but has lately been reduced to being a playable character in the Mario spin-off titles, while Toadsworth has taken over many of his previous roles. Toad made his debut appearance in the game Super Mario Bros.. He plays a rather minor role in the game as one of several Mushroom Retainers that have been kidnapped by Bowser. Unlike the rest of his people who have been turned to stone and other inanimate objects by Bowser's magical powers (as according to the game's original story), Toad's status as one of Princess Toadstool's loyal advisers (hence, his title as a Mushroom Retainer) had caused him to be kidnapped instead along with the Princess herself by Bowser and his minions. Upon being kidnapped, Toad and the other Mushroom Retainers were placed in various castles throughout the Mushroom Kingdom and were guarded by False Bowsers in order to prevent any form of escape for the Mushroom Retainers. Fortunately, Toad and the rest of the Mushroom Retainers were rescued by the Mario Bros. as they journey across the Kingdom to save Princess Toadstool and put an end to Bowser's control. Like all of the other Mushroom Retainers, Toad says the infamous line "Thank you Mario! But our princess is in another castle!" to either Mario or Luigi once they have rescued him from the False Bowser that kept him captive. Toad's first appearance as a playable character was in the game Super Mario Bros. 2. In the game, he, along with his friends Mario, Luigi, and Princess Toadstool go to a picnic at the beginning of the game. As they head out, the four heroes soon discover a cave that leads to the strange world known as Subcon. Upon reaching the mythical area, Toad and his friends then learn that the once peaceful land is now ruled by the tyrannical frog, Wart. Agreeing to stop Wart and bring peace to the land, the quartet immediately set off to defeat the villain and rescue the original inhabitants of Subcon. Toad, Mario, Luigi, and Peach eventually defeat the evil tyrant after traveling through the mystical land and defeating Wart's army (the 8 Bits). Upon Wart's defeat, Toad and his friends then go on to save the people of Subcon, thus bringing peace to the land. At the end of the game; however, it is revealed that the events of the game were just a part of Mario's dream. Gameplay-wise, Toad is the worst jumper, but he is extremely fast when it comes to picking vegetables or digging through sand. He also is super speedy, making him the fastest of the four characters, being the only character who runs faster than normal while carrying a "heavy" object that would slow the other characters down. While being the weakest jumper, Toad is capable of overcoming this by performing a Power Squat Jump (a jump that is twice as stronger than his regular jumps). Other: Not much. Lunda_Cat16- Spoiler:
Name: Fai D. Flourite Gender: Male Universe: Born in Valeria Country, but raised in Celes. Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle universe. Appearance: Here. Would have just the image but that site is a bitch with hotlinking so... Personality: Fai is a bit of an enigma. On first impression he seems like a nice, sweet young man. Somewhat beyond first impression and he is revealed to be a bit like the energizer bunny on meth. He's completely care-free and casual even in front of serious threats, he playfully teases and does other such antics, and most of the time he just doesn't stop fucking smiling. Thankfully he at least has standards (aka do not make joking remark when friend is mortally wounded), but after a while it can get very, very annoying. Of course, if he were such a ditz, then one would assume he is pretty much useless, right? However, he's not. Despite being so "float-along-through-life" he can still make a split-second movement that might just save his life, and despite being so happy and, for lack of better words, playful, there are just some times when one can catch him being almost a bit too serious. There's the sense that his whole personality is a facade. There is also the idea that he might not exactly be all there. His actions sometimes make no sense in normal, human logic at all, and sometimes it's more than just the whole "facade" deal. If anything, he should probably not be underestimated in battle, even if he does give everyone really stupid nicknames. Superpower: Magic. Magic and magic and magic. This man is pretty much a battlemage incarnate. Thankfully there's a tattoo on his back that holds back his ability, or otherwise the arena might go boom. However, Fai doesn't like to use too much of his magic for personal reasons, however, and instead relies on his superb melee fighting skills. Still, it always is helpful to have a few spells helping out~ Weapons: That huge staff in the appearance section. Not exactly something you'd want hitting you over the head. Bio: Okay so this part is pretty much meant to be a huge mystery, but I'll add it in spoilers. Read if you're lame, don't if you're like totally cool. Yaaaay for wiki copy-pasting. When Fai's past is finally revealed, it's known that his real name is Yui. It is shown that "Yui" was born in Valeria Country, with a twin named Fai. Though the birth of the second prince's son was highly anticipated, the birth of twins was considered to be a bad omen. Shortly after their birth, the second prince died, and their mother committed suicide out of guilt for giving birth to them. In addition, the country suffered many misfortunes, and the twins, when combined, bore powerful magic that rivaled that of the current king.
The king decided that making them unhappy was the only way to break the "curse", and since each refused to kill the other, they were locked up separately in a place where magic is ineffective and time does not flow: a tower residing in a deep valley. Fai was imprisoned atop the tower, and Yui was confined at the base of the tower. Both were condemned to stay there "until the world's destruction."
Despite their unhappiness, the number of bodies dumped into the base of the tower began to grow. Yui tried endlessly to climb up towards Fai, so they could escape, but he did not succeed. Eventually, the king became insane, and he executed everyone in the country, except for Yui and Fai. He then jumped into the valley himself and committed suicide in front of a horrified Yui, reminding him that their birth was the reason for the country's misfortune, and that they would now "pay for that sin" by being the only people alive in Valeria.
Eventually, Fei Wong Reed (main villain of series) appeared from another world, and offered to free one of them. Fai chose to save Yui, resulting in Fai being thrown from the tower to his death. Fei Wong then tampered with Yui's memory to make him think that Yui had chosen to save himself at the cost of his brother's life, allowing Fei Wong to use his guilt in order to turn him into his servant. In order to bring his twin back to life, Yui allowed Fei Wong to bestow two curses upon him, one of which was removed from Yui's memory. Fei Wong then told Yui that someone would free him from the valley, and that he would have to go on a journey, protecting "a princess" (Sakura), and killing any obstacles along the way. Fei Wong then tells Yui that when he finds a magical feather, he should put it into Fai's body to prevent it from rotting, and that he should begin his journey when he finds a second feather, which he should give to said princess. (Note, these feathers are canonically the memories of the princess that were scattered through the world but that's just making things even more confusing. They do have strong powers within them, however, which is something that can be used.)
Later, King Ashura came to Valeria from another world in order to retrieve Yui and took him to Celes. When Ashura asked what Yui's name was, Yui said "Fai". Ashura later gave Fai the last name "Flourite", the name of a precious talisman mineral, and he eventually earned the title 'D', given to the highest magician in Celes. And thus, Yui became the protagonist "Fai D. Flourite". He found his two feathers while helping villagers during an avalanche, and decided to use one to create a person in his mother's image; Chi (his maid/companion/bitch/friend/thing).
Ashura eventually tutored Fai in magic and comforted him whenever he felt unable to overcome his dark past. When Fai discovered that he could only learn "magic that kills people", Ashura told him that his smile held the ability to heal others. In exchange for everything that he had done for him, Ashura asked Fai to promise that he would eliminate anyone who threatened Celes.
Due to Fai's first curse, which is that he would kill the first person he met with magic powers exceeding his, Ashura traced a magical seal on Fai's body in the form of a Phoenix tattoo, which suppressed his powers from growing any further, and though Fai protested, Ashura told him that Fai's first curse would break after it was fulfilled once, and he wanted to be the one that Fai would kill. Ashura then erased what he had told him from Fai's memory.
Several years later, a mysterious and deadly monster began to kill Celes's innocent civilians. Fai swore to defeat the beast, but found out that Ashura was the monster. Fai, at first, blamed himself for what happened to Ashura, thinking that "the curse of the twins" was what had caused Ashura to kill, but Ashura told him that his magic grows when he kills, and that he always knew that he would become a murderer, even though he was not sure why. Fai realized that Ashura had brought him under his care for the sole purpose of killing him when he reached this state. Unable to bring himself to kill Ashura, Fai cast a spell on him, putting him into a deep sleep. However, no magic spell was permanent, so the king would eventually awaken.
Of course, here's where the timeline of the main series splits from the timeline of the RP. In this timeline, Fai somehow learned of a way to bring his twin brother back from the dead without the curses being fulfilled, which involved competing in a certain tourney. After finding the second feather, he decides to leave to the Arena world instead of following the pre-destined path.Other: Name: Sayaka Miki Gender: Female Universe: Puella Magi Madoka Magica, or P3M to make it easier on the tongue. Appearance: Here. Normal outfit is on the left, while her magical girl form/battle attire is on the right. Personality: Sayaka is what we might call "broken". She has reached the point of no return, the despair event horizon, and related terms. There are only two ways for her to go now: up, or down. But let's get on to personality. Sayaka is a no-nonsense type of person. She's in this tournament to win and to win only. She is severely stubborn, and to say she has fierce determination is an understatement. Once she's made her mind up about something there's no use changing it. She has a bit of a black and white view of the world as well, or at least of people. She believes that anyone with a special power or privilege should be using them to help other people, and she absolutely hates those who use special opportunities like that for their own gain. She also has a bit of a tendency to act without a second thought, and her previously listed traits bring her into conflict with others frequently. However, once she opens up to someone she can be very kind and loyal. She's definitely a tomboy in interests, and she is quite lively and fun to be around (if she ever snaps out of her current funk, that is). Superpower: As a Puella Magi, or Magical Girl, she has superhuman reflexes, agility, and strength that are quite important to her survival, especially considering that she's a minor. She can also dull feelings of pain, but her movements are reaction time become slower the more she decides to cancel it out. Due to the nature of her wish she has regenerative abilities, and can quickly recover from normally disabling injuries. However, too many or a big enough blow will knock her down. Or, you could aim for her Soul Gem, but that will kill her. Weapons: A cutlass that can, according to production notes, break up into linked pieces and wrap around enemies, and while further notes say it can also be a bomb the picture is confusing so that won't be happening. Also as a sort of "finishing move" she can summon multiple cutlasses, which will plummet and likely impale the target if they don't get the fuck out of the way. She can also throw them. Bio: A childhood friend of the titular character in the series, Sayaka got involved in the whole Puella Magi business when she followed her friend to rescue a strange creature known as Kyubey. The critter offered to fulfill a wish of any kind for them, as long as they made a contract and became a magical girl. After considering her wish, Sayaka decided to heal her friend and crush Kyosuke, who had been hurt in a terrible accident. This allowed him to play the violin again, a passion of his formerly impossible, and Sayaka was hoping that just maybe he would gain romantic feelings for her. However, her crush had really always viewed her as a good friend, so those feelings could never develop on their own, and after Sayaka learned a very nasty detail about being a Puella Magi (specifically that their souls and bodies have been separated, with the Soul Gem being the former's host, so she's pretty much a walking zombie), she fell into despair, since she felt that she could never love anyone in her condition. Of course, then a little birdie came around and told her there could be a way to cure herself, as long as she participated in a certain tournament... Other: Name: Suicune Gender: Technically genderless, but leans towards female. Universe: Pokemon universe, specifically movie 4. Appearance: Bam.Personality: Suicune is a very calm individual. She is usually very serene, perhaps even in a dissonant manner, and very rational in mindset. She will always listen when someone needs to talk to her, and even though, being a Pokemon, she might not have the best advice or any advice at all, she'll try to help. However, she is very, very protective over two things, and hurting them will pretty much get you a full-blown Blizzard in the face. One of them is the environment, and the other is those she befriends. Want to piss her off? Just dump trash in a river or hurt an animal. As was said earlier, she is not human, nor is she a "mortal" Pokemon. She tends to view things in an overly cool manner. This tends to lead to conflict with more emotional and less rational people, who she views as silly and they in turn view her as cold and distant. Superpower: Specifically, her moveset, which includes Bubblebeam (obvious); Tailwind, which whips up a whirlwind that increases her teammates' speed; Blizzard, which is also obvious, though it does have a chance to completely freeze people; and Extrasensory, which is a Psychic attack that make the recipient feel as if their brain is being manually squeezed. Extrasensory's effects are all psychological, however, so it is quite possible to get past it. Also she can purify water. Weapons: Um I guess you really wouldn't want a kick or a headbutting from Suicune, so melee attacks count I guess. Bio: Suicune is the guardian over (presumably) Ilex Forest, and exists to make sure that the ecosystem stays stable and humans don't muck everything up. However, her main responsibility is to all of the forests of the world, specifically their lakes, as she has the job of purifying the water that might otherwise be polluted and unusable. During the events of the 4th Pokemon Movie, she assisted in the defeat of the Iron-Masked Marauder, a man who was trying to use the other forest's guardian, Celebi, for his own nefarious purposes, and he was destroying the forest and muddying up the water in the process. After purifying the lake in said forest, she resumed her job. However, the forest was still scarred, and she knew that eventually there would be more people who might not care about the sanctity of the woods. So after hearing of a tourney that could grant any desire, she entered, hoping for a way to seal off her domain from human contact. Other: MataRahi- Spoiler:
Name: Hank J. Wimbleton Gender: Male Universe: Madness Combat Appearance: Click (not my picture)Personality: Hank’s only purpose and want is to spread madness via genocide – it has been that way from the beginning. He does not discriminate in his victims, though he prefers those that fight back (and has occasionally shown mercy in the past), but is also not unwilling to make an alliance or two in the pursuit of Madness – as above all, Hank dislikes being controlled, and there is nothing he would like to do more than subject those who force him to fight to the fight itself. Superpower: Before his death and subsequent revival-cloning, Hank had no extreme abilities beyond his remarkable skill with a wide range of weaponry, arcing from heavy firearms to swords and axes. He was exceptionally strong, acrobatic, and accurate, nearing but not exceeding superhuman skill. After Hank’s death by the Savior’s hands, he was thrown into some sort of regenerator by an ally (who was subsequently shot to death) and emerged bigger, stronger, and with a crustacean-like, extremely muscular right arm which developed the ability to deliver powerful electrical punches. Weapons: Anything he can get his hands on – pistols, submachine guns, rifles, grenades, crowbars, nightsticks, signposts... Hank can kill you in a dozen different ways with each of two dozen objects in an average living room. His preferred weapons, however, are a pair of uzis. Bio: As watchers of the Madness Combat series will know, it all started with the Chicken Dance on a bright summer afternoon. One man would not give up the radio, and so thirty men (thirty two people, actually, if you count the zombies) had to die. Things only escalated from there, and Hank succeeded in killing the Sheriff, entering the Improbability Drive, going face to face with the Savior, the Clown, the as-yet-unnamed administrator of the whole system, and hundreds of enemies - and dying multiple times throughout the course of the above. Other: Hank’s been resurrected plenty of times throughout Madness, but he lacks the ability to do it himself. So no worries. Dead Hank will stay dead. Name: Madotsuki Gender: Female Universe: Yume Nikki Appearance: Click (not my drawing)Personality: Madotsuki is an extremely antisocial being (A hikikomori), and if she has to be around people than she certainly will not talk to them. No, better to walk around with her eyes closed and pretend that she said something. Madotsuki is not bitter or people-hating, she just prefers this infinitesimal type of interaction to actual conversation. Her mood swings can range from friendly and cheerful to murderous. Superpower: Aside from her ability to lucid dream on command, and navigate with her eyes closed, Madotsuki is ordinary – though she is extremely unaffected by situations that would cause ordinary people to scream in terror or gasp with disgust. Weapons: Madotsuki is able to utilize 24 different ‘effects’ at will, as listed below: Frog – Madotsuki’s head becomes that of a frog and her swimming and jumping are improved. Umbrella – A red umbrella is summoned and it begins to rain. Hat/Scarf – A hat and scarf are summoned; Madotsuki will become a snowman if it is snowing. Yuki-Onna – Madotsuki becomes a snow-woman with white skin and blue hair, and it begins to snow. Knife – A kitchen steak knife is summoned. Medamaude – Madotsuki’s head becomes a giant hand with a green eyeball in the center of the palm. Fat – Madotsuki becomes fat. Midget – Madotsuki shrinks and may create up to 6 mini-duplicates of herself until she deactivates the effect. Flute – Summons a flute. For musical purposes. It’s actually quite nice. Neon – Madotsuki glows like a neon light. Nopperabou – Madotsuki’s face disappears. Severed Head – Madotsuki becomes a slow-moving severed head. Towel – Summons a cloak-like towel that enwraps Madotsuki. Cat – Madotsuki grows cat ears and a tail. Lamp – Madotsuki’s head becomes a lamp, which she may turn on and off. Bicycle – Summons a bicycle, for quick transportation. Long Hair – Madotsuki’s hair grows out. Poop Hair – Madotsuki’s hair is styled to resemble poop. Blonde Hair – Madotsuki’s hair grows long and turns blonde. Triangle Kerchief – Madotsuki wears a kerchief on her head that allows her to become ghost-like and near-invisible at will. Witch – Madotsuki is dressed like a witch and receives a flying broomstick, for quick transportation. Demon – Madotsuki becomes an imp-like creature with red skin and horns. Buyo Buyo – Madotsuki becomes jelly-like and wobbly. Stoplight – Madotsuki transforms into a stoplight. Bio: Not much is known about Madotsuki’s past, other than what may be glimpsed through the horrible manifestations in her dream world – possibly rape or abuse, but whatever it was, it was tragic enough to force her to lock herself in her room, shut away from the rest of the world. Other: Name: Olek Gender: Male Universe: Nevermore Appearance: Click (not my drawing)Personality: Olek is an intrepid treasure-seeker who is always up for a good adventure (So long as it’s for the benefit of his village – he has a good moral compass). He is social, but not very overly so, and is instantly likable for his quiet charm. Superpower: No superpower. He is good at running, jumping, and solving puzzles. Weapons: His own skills. And hats. Hats and hats and hats. Bio: Olek was born and raised in Shawbrook Forest, a quiet, poor town in Nevermore. At a young age, he sat out on a quest to find a pirate’s treasure to save its village from its poor economic state. During this journey, Olek learned of an ancient warlike race that was sealed away long ago, and ended up freeing them – to learn that they had renounced their evil ways and become peaceful creatures. He also learned that Tuomas the shopkeeper, an evil shapeshifter who had been residing in his hometown, had followed him all the way disguised as a squirrel in hopes of stealing the treasure – but he fled in the end. Olek returned home with his many hats and the wondrous race of creatures, presumably bringing the village to new heights of health and happiness. Other: Haaaaaaats hats hats hats. MoonlightDreams- Spoiler:
Name: Anarchy Stocking (Most often just called Stocking) Gender: Female Universe: Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt Appearance: http://images.wikia.com/pswgb/images/3/35/StockingA.pngPersonality: Stocking is most often considered the more sensible of the Anarchy sisters. This doesn't mean she is without her moments, though. She can be nice, but can act bitchy if provoked. She is a good fighter, but her one weakness is sweets. If you know better, don't touch hers. Despite her looks, she's not a depressing goth. Superpower: None, though her angelic nature allows her to be more powerful now than if she was a human. Weapons: Two katanas that are able to be made from her Stockings. Bio: Stocking, along with her sister Panty, are two angels that got kicked out of heaven. Stocking here was kicked out because of her massive sugar tooth. and when I say massive, I mean it. She is often seen wearing Gothic Lolita fashion, and is usually seen carrying a doll named "Skullcat". Despite this, she is not depressing at all. She lives in an old church with her sister, an afro priest named Garterbelt, and their GIR-lookalike dog Chuck. Other: I'm actually a demon. Not that I can think of. ------------------- Name: Mr. Game and Watch Gender: Male Universe: Game and Watch/Super Smash Bros. Appearance: http://www.mariowiki.com/images/thumb/0/0a/GameandWatch.jpg/220px-GameandWatch.jpgPersonality: He doesn't have much of one, to be honest. Technically, he could have any personality, considering he is a composite character. However, here in ITPOMH, Mr. Game and Watch is a simple man. He is a fair fighter, due to his experience in a certain other crossover series, but tends to act obedient. This is mostly due to his inability to speak in a comprehensible manner. He is also confused by the way the three-dimensional world works. On the other hand, some of the other characters find a bit of a charm in this denizen of Flat Zone. Superpower: Generating objects from nothing, double-jumping. Can also turn into a giant octopus. Weapons: Uses objects like frying pans, hammers, bug spray, helmets, flags, turtles, parachutes, keys, manholes, matches, boxes that he generates from nowhere. Bio: Game and Watches were a series of handheld LCD games released by Nintendo in the '80s. Many of these games featured humans, but because of the graphics, they were portrayed as mostly featureless things that kind of resembled humans. In the early '00s, Nintendo released Super Smash Bros. Melee, featuring a character who resembled these characters and fought with different objects used in Game and Watch games. This was Mr. Game and Watch. In Melee's sequel, Brawl, the big bad Tabuu used a substance extracted from his body to create an army. Other: None. ------------------- Name: Trogdor the Burninator Gender: Male Universe: Homestar Runner Appearance: http://www.hrwiki.org/w/images/1/16/SBCG4APBurninator.pngPersonality: Trogdor is a violent dragon. He often uses his fire breath to burninate entire villages of peasants and their thatch-roofed cottages. Why he does this is unknown. But for one thing, he is violent and ruthless. Superpower: He can breathe fire, causing people to become burninated. He can also fly small distances with his tiny pair of wings. Weapons: That giant beefy arm on his back may count as one. Biography: Trogdor was created when some guy asked Strong Bad to draw a dragon. He may be a man, or maybe a dragon man, but it's commonly assumed that he's just a dragon. He likes to burninate peasants in his spare time. He lives in The Trog-Cave somewhere in the land of Peasantry. Other: None Terraniux- Spoiler:
Name: Alcatraz Gender: Male Universe: Crysis Appearance: http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20081220223229/crysis/images/a/aa/Nanosuit.jpgPersonality: Silent, doesn't talk much; not exactly a real people person. But he'll do what he's told...with good reason, of course. He doesn't give up easy, and when he has to run he'll be back for more later. He prefers hit and run tactics so he can avoid taking too much damage, but when confronted full force he'll fight 'till he's injured or dead, if he's still alive, he'll run. Superpower: His suit is the source of his powers, giving him access to three suit nodes. One node is permanent and is a sort of "passive trait", this is the node giving him extra strength, speed, and agility. Otherwise he can activate one of two other nodes at a time, the cloak node turns him invisible for an amount of time. The other is armor, and when activated his nanosuit rearranges and hardens it's surface, reducing movement but increasing armor substantially for a restricted time. Weapons: Standard issue assault rifle and shotgun, along with a knife and whatever else he may find. Bio: Alcatraz was a marine, sent out to secure a VIP. But an alien ambush nearly put and end to the entire mission, killing his comrades and severely wounding him. He was rescued by Prophet, the wearer of the nanosuit before him, and so Prophet outfitted Alcatraz in the suit whilehe was incapacitated. When Alcatraz finally came to, he was in the suit and Pophet had comitted suicide. Other: Alcatraz is considered a dead man walking. Name: John Gender: Male Universe: Mythical sci-fi crossovers Appearance: He's a thinner varient of werewolf, has various transitions of long brown, dark brown, and blackish fur. He has yellow eyes, and a long furry tail. Sports a more civilized appearance, his fur is straight, not ruffled, and his face is calm...not savage. He wears a full body leather tunic under his Custom-made flexible armor, which it's about 50% obsidian as the main protection, and 50% various metals such as steel and titanium to reinforce and bolster it's sturdiness and durability, limiting minimal movement, but still slowing him down. The armor has a dark, silvery color to it with a sort of glassy texture. Personality: Scientific and peaceful, he will eagerly take a chance to learn about new tech, especially anything that could be considered "alien". Normally he will not attack unless aggravated, but in the case of recent events he's grown more hostile. He is a trustworthy friend and ally, but also a respectable foe, seeing as he gives his enemies a chance to surrender before killing them. Superpower: Has minor power over the element of stone, can send rocks flying at foes, or he can protect himself with a wall of stone. Weapons: Uses a purple laser sword and wrist gauntlet that creates and energy shield, carries an expandible, easy storage quarterstaff on his back as a side-arm. Has honed mechanical skills, and can craft and repair items quickly and easily, only needs a workstation to craft complicated mechanisms, armor, and swords, he can make repairs and lesser tech in the field. Bio: He doesn't remember much of his past, just that he's twenty, and that he's lived on an island for most of his life...but he remembers how to work with the current age mechanisms, being able to repair most...but lost some of his practice. He is stronger suited to more simple technologies, hence his quarterstaff that is an engineering marvel; being able to go from one foot to five at the click of a button, while being made of primative metals. Other: He is forever bound to werewolf form. turntechGodhead- Spoiler:
Name: Trickster!Dave Strider (call him Trick, I have too many Dave's to just call them each Dave) Gender: Male Universe: homestuck (unofficial design though) Appearance: drawing by a close friend uwuPersonality: Unlike the regular Dave, he isn't cool or collected at all. Trick is absolutely full of fucking hyper shit. Literally so hyper it is annoying. An absolute fucking bubbly mess. Though there are on occasion some horrible bursts of pure rage. These are often brought on by being refered to as a glitch. As even though that is exactly what the trickster is, he will refuse to believe that he is a mere error in the coding of a game. Anyone accusing him of being such is slaughtered violently. He is certainly not afraid to get some blood on his hands here. Killing is like a fun pass time to him. Superpower: He can flashstep, like most Daves can. Basically a burst of speed to get somewhere quickly. Could be considered a little like teleporting, though you could actually hit him in mid step. Weapons: A really shitty katana. Which isn't that shitty in actual fact. Also fists are great for fighting. Not limited at all with weapons. Bio: Not much to initially say here, as there technically isn't one in canon. Though, the trickster is from a doomed timeline, created from a glitch upon a Dave's entry to the SBURB game. He started off not that bad at all, just a little bit giggly and strange. Though as time gradually passed on through the course of the game, he grew a large lust for just wrecking shit. This includes his own friends. He has managed to hurt a few, though never got the chance to actually kill them. Other: nope Name: Heinous!Dave Strider (Maybe we'll just call him the creepy bird guy? Or just Heinous )) Gender: Male Universe: Heinous!Stuck Appearance: not drawn by me uwuPersonality: Is it even possible to explain how violent this guy is? Like, the living embodiment of rage. Though that rage is often kept at bay. At least he can try to keep it back, though there are times when you just gotta flip an everloving fuck. And Heinous seems to have to deal with that problem quite a lot. The mask kind of makes speaking difficult, and when it's stitched to your face you can't do much to fix that problem. He may make a few witty remarks here and there, though most sounds will be infuriated squawking noises. Superpower: DOES FLYING COUNT Weapons: The sword stuck into his chest. Yes, the bitch is removable. Also claws and maybe the beak of the mask. Bio: There really isn't one. Which I'm sorry about. Other: Nope! Name: Davesprite Gender: Male Universe: Homestuck Appearance: not drawn by me uwuPersonality: He is Dave, mostly. Pretty chilled out most of the time if he can manage it. Though He appears a bit more bitter and worn out than Dave, partially because of having been through months of SBURB already, and partially because the others don't consider him to be a "real" Dave. Superpower: Again, would flight go in here? He's kinda ghostly like too, but I'm not sure what that even has to do with anything. Weapons: Like both the other Dave's, he has his own sword. Wow aren't they all different. Bio: Davepsrite is a Dave from one of the many doomed timelines, and he travelled back to basically stop the Alpha Dave doing the exact same as his timeline has done. He became Davesprite from taking Lil Cal's place in being prototyped with a dead crow. Thus giving him the wings and such. (LAME BIO FFF) Other: nope

| Alright, have my team ready. Or three characters of my team if we end up doing 4 each. Other: In Nevermore 2 Olek survived a direct hit, point blank, by a cannonball bigger than he was (as well as the crash landing about a mile away) but we’re just going to let that slide.

| Okay so I just want to post these nearly finished sheets here so they don't get lost. Suicune is the only finished one here so feel free to accept/reject her. I'll finish everyone else tonight/tomorrow because personalities are hard to write even when you already know them. - Spoiler:
After finding the second feather, he decides to leave to the Arena world instead of following the pre-destined path.
Other: Name: Sayaka Miki Gender: Female Universe: Puella Magi Madoka Magica, or P3M to make it easier on the tongue.
