Trolls sounds good. Many rps I've been in, there has been WoW esque trolls; tall, thin, blue and lanky. Let's try to avoid that for the sake of being hipster.

When I think trolls, I always imagine Runescrap trolls.

Runescape got them right, large, dimwitted creatures with skin like tough as rock, very tough. Not all thin and weird.

The trolls I grew up imagining were big, green, and had like Wolverine level regeneration unless they were burned. I was heavily influenced by video games, so shush.

Hey man, two rounds of actions per turn is really, really annoying. I can only take so much clubbing.

But yes patches, in terms of sheer brutishness, just be something rather bulky, with some form of incredibly tough skin.

Ettins get entire extra turns, barring any downside such as being DoT'd faster.

Really? that's interesting. I think I need to re-read my monster manual.

And there's not that many spells that have an effect per turn, and the negatives are more than balanced.

It might just be in 4e. That's what I'm used to, is all I can find groups for. Hence the DoT thing, it happens with mild frequency in 4e.

I don't think I'll BE an Ettin. I doubt they're very much suitable for a party, lol.

True. Though the "why are we all working together?" moment will have just as many issues, Etyin present or not.

I think we'll find a way to work that in appropriately without being "Hey, let's travel around for no reason and save the world from forces we are unaware about."

I'd imagine it'll start with one or two people and then characters eventually get clumped together by chance.
