Are you freaking joking? They'd make an anime out of everything. I kid you not lol, its kinda funny actually, not at all serious from what I saw. Aaaaaannd I have been thinking of joining, dunno. I just don't have a ton of time, I work 12 hour shifts so during the workdays I only have enough time to work and sleep pretty much.

| Huginnese cuisine isn't so bad, if you steer clear of the millet and berries. Their crickets are good. Their carrion is better.
I should probably not spend as large a fraction of the day thinking about this RP my charrie(s) as I do. That said, daydreaming time merely serves a soothing function. It's creative time that I should be allocating elsewhere.
edit: I'm optimistic that Rhaokin's family will love her regardless of how many machine guns she has.
Also, mapwise, fleshshaper colonies are superfluous now since Chorus colonies are the same thing, but better positioned to not deplete the entire local biomass. Maybe it's an experiment, though. Idk if anyone wants the crescent isle themselves.

| Personally I'm more of a Tannari kind of guy food-wise, but I can see the appeal of Huginese food. My only beef is that it's got all the seeds in it. They're hard to chew if you don't have a beak. | |

| It's not the seeds you need to worry about... though most whole seeds and stuff wouldn't really be appropriate for people-sized birds, because they're just so small. | |

| I'm more than satisfied with the current level of lore. Y'all are some amazing world builders! Guess it comes with being roleplayers, lol :P What I waaanna do is try and draw all of your amazing characters but I dunno if I'll have time to do that, lol. Maybe later there'll be some scenes worth drawing. We'll see!
I'll be sure to always provide y'all with ample information regarding regions that your quests take you into, and if there's something you'd like clarified at any point in the adventure then post here and I'll answer with exposition! On that note, anyone who wants to add new cities/nations/regions, do it now or forever hold your peace, as I'm putting the finishing touches on the map :D
We can either start Sunday night after I get off the bus, or Friday night before I leave! Any preferences?

| Depending how active we are in the roleplay, that's two or so days without direction. If we're slow, it wouldn't really be a problem. We could just sink a couple relationship posts in together, otherwise, we'll just be chattering away in a room.
In that case, we could say More Grain the Rock decided to hold off the actual meeting until everyone arrived and went out for donuts? Came back late?

| Psssh you guys gotta survive an attack on your camp first. :P The story kicks in right before the group makes it to Mogey Rain's hideout. Y'all'd been tracked from some time by Lutin the shade, and that led to some pretty high bounties on your head. I won't tell you exactly what you're fighting until the IC kicks in, but I just thought that'd be a cool way to kick it off - an excuse to have charries start working together and develop relationships and all. Is that cool with everyone? o: | |

| Just as long as one of the royalty in the group gets indignant at my alien for not knowing who they are. Teehee. "Wh-what do you mean you've never heard of me?!" The sheet is in the works.
Speaking of alien, Jazz, how's that art coming along?

| Mazdai are almost art'd.Also, since the Drive is about crystallized, I've been writing about my character. - Arj'atyn Backstory:
A blue-green lizard straggles into the monastery courtyard. Dwarfish monks emerge to offer relief.
(They were surprised she had not been taken by bandits. The image on her watch-face switched away from a live videofeed, the same one we are watching.)
The videofeed shudders and auto-refocuses on the terrain below, which is swiftly approaching.
- last datastream recorded by micro-drone camera with broadcast ID 2ad5:34fd:bd20.
(Her father's men arrive later. The monks give them the usual run-around, and they depart the next day. But she knows that they know.)
"Do you want to be under his yoke your whole life?" Her friend's cousin - a globetrotter, well-versed in martial arts - clasped her on the shoulder.
"The monks have studied magic for millennia, unfettered by the establishment. You'll have the aptitude for it, I think. Air magic, right?"
She nodded, still weighing the gravitas of the situation. The magnitude of the aid being offered. For all this, she barely knew him.
"I swear it'll be worth it."
A cyanin lizard skulks among the crags. She nervously spins a die with colored sides between her fingers, allowing it a .5 centimeter air gap.
"Be patient. Another year. They won't initiate me before then. Give me a few decades, and I'll be running this place. Why not? I'm the best in my class."
She turns to make the trek back to the monastery, hands clenched into fists, claws digging into her palms.
(She doesn’t know whether they know.)
- evidence presented in case against the Arj family for personal use of a government drone, docket number 06:--sd10432 KV(EQ).
She had labored over a dead songbird, collected from a curbside. She had gotten it to hop, when her parents took it away. "It's a disease risk."
"What were you doing, kinfolk?" [The brother strides up and down the hall. Anxious.]
"Taking a leak. There's no privacy here."
"You shouldn't vanish like that. I fear for you."
[The junior sister tries to shrug him off.]
"Please, you must keep me in the loop." [He steps closer.]
"I will do as much as I can for you." [She steps away.]
"My optimism is high. I think it will be enough." [His gaze lingers a moment. He leaves the quadrangle.]
[She remains, discomfort writ plain on her features. She paces for a bout. She settles into a meditative posture.]
- dialog translated from Reptilian, from a dwarfish monk's phonetic transcription.
"Why won't you go to the shooting range with your sister?" "She just wants to beat me, ma. It's petty."
"Stop whining about null pointer errors," her mother would say. "You should know the difference between a reference and its object."
She does, though. They just don't understand that she does.
She falls halfway through the sky-run. Caught in the featherfall spell, she seems to savor the magic's feel, the defiance of physical law. (Bending, not breaking.) Many eyes are now upon her. Her own are closed.
Opening her eyes, she sees the head monk approaching. (For all that he'd been present, the first time that he had noticed her.) It seems for a moment as if she might ask for another chance. Another test. To substitute for one she'd failed a long time ago.
"Your friend has already been seen off. We've called your parents here to collect you. I am sorry it did not work out."
An attendant collects her sash. The head monk watches her go, but has little time to spare. (Afternoon tea beckoned.) The pack of faceless, black-armored enforcers closes ranks around her.
- excerpt from the memoirs of a temple brother, chapter entitled 'the wayward princess'. read ~3,034 times.
(The rail ride home takes place in silence, if one can ignore the rumble and screech of the traincar.)
The hatchling toyed with a wooden top with faceted sides, emitting the odd squeak. Its left ankle was banded with the color-code '043'; its right, with 'ARJ' in block lettering, black-on-white.
It spun the teetotum right, sort of, successfully knocking it over. It tried spinning the teetotum left, with marginally better success.
A tutor encouraged the youngster, whose attention had wandered. The tutor took the teetotum and set it spinning. The juvenile bumped the top with a clawed finger, catastrophically disrupting its motion.
The tutor tried again, gently pinning the juvenile to the wall with their other hand. The youngster reached out a foot, trying to get at the teetotum, but couldn't quite reach. It yelped.
Abruptly, the teetotum stopped and fell over.
The tutor looked up at the father. His throat paled with satisfaction, and he marked both the crib and the memory for safekeeping.
- excerpt from the memories of Arj'adjern, recorded -/-/--, regarding his first daughter. stored in the Arj family vault prior to its destruction in '--.
She lapses into a meditative state. When she opens her eyes, she can see the demons hanging behind her father's men, entangled with smoky limbs. She can see the enforcers' eyes, and they are shut. She considers the shortlist of her family's enemies, and concludes that her home has fallen. She barrels towards the door, already imagining a hand that grasps her arm and holds it fast, a leg stretched out to cause a spill. (But the demons are drowsy, or asleep, or amused.) She forces open the emergency door, and takes a flying leap into a brief, unstable run along the railway's edge. She looks down - and it is a substantial way down, - and spots a support column, which she slides down. She runs, using the rails as cover. The enforcers are aiming their tranq guns, but the train carries them away too far, too fast. She wanders across streets with buckled pavement, through the suggestion of a commercial area, and past a bank of workers' dormitories, recognizing nothing except this: It would take an ocean to wash away all the grime of Jehd-Az-Akhr’s undercity. She does not want to stay. But it hardly matters now.
So hey, justification BBCode turns off font BBCode, which is weird and inconvenient but only in previews.

| Okay, the "finished" map is here! https://i.imgur.com/ZczFI6v.jpgSome stuff maaaay be hard to read, so here's an earlier version before the filters and stuff :P https://i.imgur.com/0xkdbnu.jpgOooh I really like those designs, Omni! Especially the second one! Reminds me of those Chinese guard staffs, what with the star on the end. *u* Also, to tide over those what're interested, here are some mini-sheets for the four bosses mentioned in the villains' intro. I was going to draw them but then I tried to, and that put a stop to that. :P - The Yaddyjax:

I flow like liquid, and swirl around you; my touch shivers skin, and my breath chatters teeth. I Hide Behind trees, under shoes, and under rocks – All look, none see, as I Crawl under doors or Slip through locks. Don’t look, don’t touch, don’t have to: I’ve Got you – Come with me to the other side, a Helle of a ride – Greatest strength:My step is silent as the fall of first snow or water freezing in the night. My body is tall, dark, and lean. I never fail at hiding-game – behind anything am I, and none see me when I won’t be seen. Once in my embrace, come with me to a grim, grey place. Many struggle as we quickly walk but don’t bother, as none escape the Veil, or Father – Greatest weakness:Where I go, there follows Winter, and cold. | Mata man you never cease to amaze me. First off, that map is fantastic. Second off those characters are so interesting. From the poems to the concepts, they're going to make for some fantastic and surreal villains. From what I've gathered, the fourth child is all about mind control? The third child is all about brute force and strength, the second child is the personification of death and is only discranble on within the veil, and the first child, well I haven't figured them out yet. XD The poems are super great though, I hope you can keep them up. I haven't watched over the garden wall yet, but is the Cobb supposed to be inspired by the beast?

| Thanks Omni! And yup, you nailed Cobb's inspiration xP That and the "trash man" that my sister used to dream about when she was little. Had a big sack and came to take her away! The others' inspirations shouldn't be too hard to guess neither, lol, cept Lumpy.
(Over the garden wall is fantastic and you will love it when you get around to it owo The Beast really turned me on to musical villains! Plus, since Cobb always sings, it would make for an interesting encounter with Raizerr, lol)
