Say, would that prevent Corthana from attacking someone if they were being forced to do bad things? Like... If they were being mind-controlled?

Hm? No, of course it wouldn't. As a matter of fact, as long as you aren't casting magic, you can take a -2 to the attack roll and deal non-lethal damage, you know, knock people out.

Ah. Okay. I'll just use my shield to knock people out.

Wait... Paladins can cast magic or was that just the 'but'?

Er... let's just use your axe, bucko, that does more damage, and you'd actually get your bonus to it. Otherwise you'd be using an improvised melee weapon, you don't get a proficency bonus to the attack roll, and you can only deal 1d6.

Uh, later yes you do get some magic, but you're already casting magic, man, you know, what with the laying of your hands on people to heal them, or your ability to mark (which uses a devine challenge blahdyblahdyblah)

Sword. I switched to a sword last night.

Oh, that's right, yes you can hit them with the flat of your sword, don't worry.

If you save up your money, you can buy a totally superflious rapier instead.

Any chances for a poleaxe later down the line? Or a halberd. I'm not too picky.

I guess I just figured we would be rolling like most RPs; posting whenever possible.

Well, because posting would at the very least, require me to be there to supervise your dice rolls... we could do that, as long as no combat started, and we still pretty much let everyone post. I.E. No one guy posting like, 10 times with someone else having not posted in a while.

That's why posting orders are established beforehand. I generally avoid PbP games such as this because of dice and scheduling, so I'm not sure how to help here. I'd ask Patches if we could get a dice roller onto the site, but I don't know enough coding to know how to add one here (and if this host would allow it, either).

Hey, want me to give links to the books? That way we all can actually learn this system rather than rely heavily on the GM.

We do have one here, actually. It's under add reply at the bottom, and can be done through what would then be at the bottom of the post reply area, or by clicking the die at the top.
