'Maybe contact someone? See if anyone else is alive that can help? There must be other people who we can get who are good with hacking through mega-invincible robots bent on the destruction of humanity... Who can build massive robotic armies with their factories..." Jake sighed as he continued eating his sandwich.

"Now there man, don't be goin' makin' us all depressed and stuff, that's just plain annoyin'! We can be positive, can't we? I'm sure we can!" ROIL-5 hovered over to Jake.

Dr. Ez looked at the small machination he was nearly done building. "Well, soon I'll be able to just burn through walls, instead of finding the long way around. Oh, hey guys, where do you think that 'thing' went? Do you suppose it is still hunting us?"

"Man, I sure hope not." Nicholas sighed, suddenly losing his appetite. He stood up, leaving the remains of the sandwich where it lay on the cold tile floor.

"We'd best get moving, at any rate. Got an ETA for us on that thing's completion, Ez?"

"Yeah, I just need to-" Dr. Ez pulled one switch-like thing, and the machine hummed to life. "There! Now we are ready!" Remembering ROIL-5, he looked at it and picked it up. "Don't worry, we aren't going to leave you.... Say... How about when all this is over I make you a body and transfer you to that, so that the gun is just an accessory and you don't have to constantly hold it? Sound good?"

"Uh, sure!" ROIL-5 seemed to nod.

Jake stood up. Stretching, he looked at the several doorways. "Maybe we should try to find the main hub-thing or whatever that is on this level... I think that would be the best, it is the most secure, and I think it may have communications... but I'm not totally sure.

"Ez, man, you are a genius." Nicholas examined the machine and, finding it both of superb design and confusing nature, stepped back a few paces.

"There's an idea, but the only way we wouldn't run into more of SIDOS' goons on the way is if he hasn't gotten down this far yet. And I don't think it would be wise to underestimate him... What about a descent? Is there any way we can go deeper?"

"I know one thing I don't want to try... The Elevator..." Dr. Ez shuddered, "So... maybe a staircase?"

((Hey guys! C'mon and post! Krazz, we arewaiting for you to call to see if there are any other survivors!))

Casey shakily picked up the phone.

"H-hello. Are there any other survivors?" His voice rang out through the intercom, reaching every corner of the facility. "I am Casey. Are there any other survivors? Please contact us.. somehow." He thought for a moment. "There are three AI's with me. They have not been.." He glanced at Roz. "affected by SIDOS. Please contact us."

Casey ended the message and hung the phone on the receiver. He stepped away from the wall.
"Let's go."

As the message rebounded across the facility, Dr. Ez picked it up. "Hey guys, there are more people! And safe robots..." As he said the last sentence, he remembered ROZ and how he was disconnected from the system, "One of them may be one of my robots. I think that once we can safely contact them we should. Better to go as a group I think... unless we are still being tracked by that thing..."

"More people?" Nicholas' face perked up in an instant; he almost smiled.

Then, he did smile. "Well, what the devil are we waiting for? Let's pick a direction and go!" He rubbed his hands together in anticipation.

Dr. Ez was already heading to the entrance of one hallway, "I don't recognize this way at all, so I'm thinking we should try this way, okay?"

ROZ nodded at Casey, "Okay, we need to get going, we have to try to get down as far as we can before we get caught again. Okay?"

Nicholas, tapping his fingers on the pocket in which the pistol lay concealed, fell into step behind Dr. Ez.

"There any way we can predict whether or not this is a trap? Or at least, how many killer robots we'll bump in to along the way?"

"Well, I have an awesome gun that I haven't tried out yet, you are probably capable of defending yourself, and Jake and The Gun-robot can work together. God plan?" Dr. Ez continued down the long hallway as Jake grabbed the gun-robot and began to follow them.

Nicholas frowned, but kept walking. "Good enough. I mean, what's the worse that can happen, other than death?"

Silence accompanied the three (Four, including ROIL-5) as they proceeded towards the source of the distress call - most likely broadcasted from an office on the upper floors.

A51 took the note and started down the hall, with Casey following. Scouting ahead, A51 turned a corner and found a helpful elevator door.

"Guys?" A51 called. "You guys wanting to head down this? I'm not sure if it's the best idea, but..." he trailed off as Casey started to approach the entranceway.

"Yes. We have to. All the other survivors have probably dropped lower, and stairs will take too long." Casey paused. "And.. after what happened a couple hours ago, I honestly don't want to see stairs for a while."

Elissa stopped at a sudden halt when she heard the voice ring out over the hallways. More survivors... she thought. She had already somewhat figured that others must've survived whatever caused the big uproar, but now they seemed so much more tangible.

Shaking herself out of her thoughts, Elissa glanced down at the Apparatus. It's glowing LCD screen displayed a GPS of the facility, although recently it had been acting strange. Sometime, some hours ago, maybe days, the screen started to flicker and turn red. Quickly manually resetting the Apparatus, Elissa lost all previous data except for the Apparatus AI and function codes. To obtain any map without accessing the computers, Elissa would have to manually walk through any areas she wanted to map.

With disappointment, Elissa looked back up. As she assumed, the Apparatus told her nothing of where the intercom message may have originated from, or who sent it. Elissa thought for a moment, and started walking toward one of the Level 4 Testing Facility Areas, or Arenas as they had come to be known as by staff working on Level 4. From that extremely large room, she may be able to get something useful.

((how many hours has it been since SIDOS took over? Is 21 reasonable? More? Less? And Dr. Ez and them are on Lvl 4, correct? Elissa is on Lvl 4, designated as Testing, and on the 4th floor down, the floor level of one of the Arenas.

Another note: She does not have the wrist gun Apparatus attachment yet. She currently is going to grab it.))

"Uh yeah, we'll want to go." ROZ hurried after A51.

"Well, If we keep of going, we may just be lucky enough to find another person, maybe the person who talked over the intercom." Dr. Ez commented as he incinerated an annoying wall with cameras mounted on it.

"Righto!" Nicholas stepped delicately over the remains of the wall, the extreme edges of which glowed dully for a moment before they cooled.

He paused to wait for the others. "Do we know precisely where the intercom room is? And then how to get there?"

Casey stepped back. "Roz, open the door for us, would you?" he asked, backing away a few more steps.

"uh.... nope, but We can find it!" Dr. Ez grinned as he walked down another hallway.

ROZ nodded and moved towards the door. Anything could be behind it, so he was careful as he opened it with his robotic hands. A light peeked through, then finally it was open.

"Sounds good to me." Nicholas fell into step behind Dr. Ez.

((First we meet Elsya or Elys or whatever her name is. :P And they technically are frozen, but I may have to godmod a bit to keep them moving. :P))

ROZ looked down the elevator shaft. "You know that the drop may kill you. Don't you?"

Casey rolled his eyes. "That's what the cables are for. We can slide down the cables and pipes. And, obviously, A51 will have a better time of this than we will."

Rook peeked down the shaft "Thats quiet a long way..." She commented, "Seems do-able though." She added after a moment.

"Yeah. I guess so... But what if our weight will make the cords turn perhaps?" ROZ continued to eye the elevator shaft doubtfully.

With the others' comments, Casey began doubting himself, hesitating. He thought for a moment, then called A51 over.

"A51, get us a rope," he said. "We need some way to get down there safely."

Elissa strode purposefully toward a door at the east side of an Arena. Reaching the cool, stainless steel, she pulled it open, scanning the room for the item she was searching for.

There. In the northwest corner of the office space lay her Apparatus attachment, the wrist laser attachment. Elissa slid the attachment over her wrist onto the Apparatus until she heart a barely audible click, then lowered her arm. She would have to move up.

Rook nodded in agreement "Yeah, Roz has a point. Rope might help though I suppose, depending on its thickness that is..." She added, stepping away from the edge and looking over her shoulder.
