Um...correct me if I'm humiliatingly wrong, but I recall Fry's being an electronics store (from real life, actually), whereas you, Wolfpaw, refer to it as a restaurant in your last post....I think I'll leave this one for Eo to answer, too, since I can't be quite sure what he has in mind.

I have also begun drawing a picture of Agate, as she is a new addition to our cast and doesn't have an image yet. I would post a WIP sketch, but I'm currently at the lake and don't have a scanner.

Huh, that really does fit Aressa's attitude. It's interesting to hear a song that says roughly what a character might say.

Ah, I'd love to see your rendition of Agate. I'm always eager for more CoA art. (Speaking of which, I should probably start trying to make some myself...)

Oh, and you changed your name! I didn't know you could do that. Well, I've seen Eo's and Patches' names change, but I thought it might only be for moderators/administrators.

I've considered both drawing on paper and modelling in Maya, Aelirsa, but since I have pretty much no skill with either, I'm constantly at a loss as to what I can contribute.

3D is difficult, but rewarding if you put the time into it. So is drawing, for that matter. Try drawing first, then do modeling. I assume you have a student copy of Maya?

Yes actually, although I need to re-download, and actually take a look at the tutorials.

Now that I think about it, generally they scan a sketch in and model from that anyway. Oh well, back to frustration a dozen times over.

Ooh, modeling! I've always been interested in that, and I enjoyed it immensely when I used the Autodesk Inventor program for an elective class at school. I didn't realize Maya was available as a student copy; I should check that out.

And as for the frustration of drawing, Jokie, I've learned from personal experience and from Michangs that it's inevitable the first few times. Just push through, keep trying, and eventually you should have something acceptable, if not great.

Problem is I was good at one time, but I think late puberty brought out my OCD fully and gave me this obsession with the finished product.

As for Maya, they also have 3dsMax on Student, I got both more for in conjunction work with other programs than stand-alone modelling. Quite handy since it's the full program.

Wait a sec. I thought, or at least Wolfpaw kept suggesting, that Aelirsa and Kaldra would both stay in the café to discuss Aressa some more, but now Aelirsa's following along? She seems to be talking to Kaldra like I expected, but maybe to Tem and Agate too, and now I'm left confused. Is she traveling while Tem and Agate are too far ahead to hear, or are you saying they're all together now?

Oh right, sorry, I'll fix it up right now, mind blank while thinking of other things I guess.

Alrighty, nothing a few minor changes can fix, I wish I could write more scenes like that.

I may start with the end title, which is presumably the easiest, and works by itself. I just hope I will have enough time when college begins.

A video sounds pretty cool, Jokie. I'm guessing it would take quite a bit of time to make though, so maybe just do a bit each month or something.

In regards to my post, I'm trying to show Aressa's disgust without having her explode/lash out or anything. I don't want to disrupt the main plot because we finally got to that point. I'm figuring that she will likely start yelling or something when Aelirsa and Kaldra try to speak to her in private later.

In the meantime I'm bringing in flashbacks of her past, because she's got a lot more secrets than the death of her friend. : D

Hmm, perhaps designing the actual title in Photoshop will be a good start, I've got a few different ideas that incorporate the themes into the text. Hmm hmm...

Ok, that suggestion Kaldra made in the IC will get them moving towards the others.

I've finished the picture of Agate and should be able to post it on dA on the July 9 or 10. That's when I'll get home (no scanner at the lake condo).
