| Hmm, Aelirsa seemed able to detect "auras" around people again, like with Agate going unnoticed earlier....I wonder, might this be a handy extra ability of her dragon form, or maybe some other kind of talent she's picked up? | |

| I'd say picked up, because she's studied psychology and could recognise more obvious signs. Most likely her rarely used powers have shifted to more versatile purposes. Since it's not natural however I'm keeping it very vague, textbook symptoms, strong emotions, things along that line. : ) | |

| Ah, I see. I forgot (already) that she'd studied psychology, and I also didn't think of how she might be able to apply that in her current situation. But now it makes sense. | |

| I guess a continuation of the very subtle joke about there being no available dragon psychologists could be her resumption of studies, recovering her social skills while developing her diplomatic ones, and possibly aura sensory ones. Wouldn't go so far as to say living lie detector, but she seems to me as someone who would fight a battle through mind games rather than tooth and claw, so yeah.
Yeah, I'm gonna get back to CG modelling, I'm going with Aelirsa being a more streamlined dragon, closest to velociraptor for body build and head shape. Got some good tutorials on bone structure I can use too.

| Well, I'm basically trying to stall in the IC right now. It wouldn't make sense for Kaldra and Aelirsa to arrive at Fry's before Tem and Agate because Tem and Agate left the cafe first. Plus Kaldra and Aelirsa having been talking and pausing quite a bit, so they'd naturally be travelling a bit slower anyways. | |

| Yeah...I was kind of hoping Lyric would have a chance to respond sooner, but now I'm considering going ahead anyway. | |

| I was posting with the assumption that Tem and Agate were still ahead, just not known to the IC. | |

| Okay, good; that's how it's supposed to be. I'll probably work out something to post either tonight or tomorrow.
EDIT: Tem isn't able to consciously realize it, but he's frankly more racist than he thinks, which I hoped to suggest in my last post. That thing about thinking all hybrids would be better off as full dragons? He believes the human half is a handicap on what could have been a full dragon since humans are inferior in his mind, and it's true that hybrids aren't as strong magically, so he has some reason. He's rational enough not to blame the hybrids - he's a little more protective of them since he recognizes that a lot of dragons and humans might not think so highly of them - but he does put a certain degree of blame on the parents, thinking subconsciously, and not very rationally, that they've made a mistake and undermined his kind. He might be able to contemplate deeply enough to realize and correct this thinking pattern eventually, though. Still, knowing nothing of humans besides bloodthirsty, ignorant, well-armed slayers wanting to kill him for half his life does give him a reason not to put a whole lot of faith in them.
Just thought I'd shamelessly call attention to my little extra bit of character depth there. :D

| Sorry about the shortness of my post, I'm upset over the graphics card failure of my week old laptop, coupled with the clear inequalities that exist between users.
And that's an interesting perspective, sounds sorta like an idea I had for my webnovel about surface dwellers and 'tunnel rats', as the subterranean humans like to be called, mixing socially and genetically.

| Um...why exactly did Fail Whale/Eo just turn all his posts into The Grouch's/StinkyPachem's? He's not leaving us, is he? | |

| Actually, I looked back at some of Patches' posts on page 2 of this thread, and it appears that he turned into Eo. So I think they're switching accounts, for whatever reason. | |

| I see...I think. My best guess was that you and Patches wanted to exchange roles (you being the admin now and such), but now I sort of know the reason why. | |

| Seems like I missed quite a bit here while I was off in 'lack of internet' land. I'll do my best to get a catch up post done, I'm itching for Aelirsa to break out of her solemn mood really. | |

| I just noticed this was here. What the heck. I'm slow.
...Is it bad that I found the wording of the summary hilarious? I had to force down a giggle, seriously.

| No, no, I laughed too. And I didn't mention it at the time, but I actually found this several days after it had started.... | |

| Sorry if Aelirsa's stealing the show a bit here, especially if as I take it, this is really the first sort of intense conflict so far. | |

| Actually, Jokie...maybe it's just me, but I kind of have my doubts that Aelirsa would be able to fit in a whole speech when Aressa is charging for her and Tem and Kaden are in mid-leap with maybe a second or two before they collide with Aressa. If Aelirsa wanted to stop the others from attacking, then that would probably entail letting Tem and Kaden crash into her at rather high speed. I suppose Aelirsa could have fit some of the dialogue into the time before the charge started, but my impression is that the situation is moving a lot faster and more urgently than you might have interpreted it.... | |

| Yeah, I got carried away there, I'm not really used to predicting other character's moves in RP's. I guess I'll edit around so it's more time wise, but I really do hate making short-snappy posts in times like this.
Alrighty, I hope that works much better now.

| Well, if shorter and snappier posts seem to be better for a situation (and I think they are when suddenly each second counts), then I'd try not to worry about them too much.
Oh, hey Miirik, I happened to notice your attempt at a signature just then. I think that to get the url to work, you should either take the url and put it between these: [url] [/url] ...or you should keep it as [url=whatever] but then add [/url] at the end, with text describing the link in between. I, er, hope one of those works. The second one should look more elegant, I think. You can even use an image as the link by using the BBcode for that, like I did in my signature. They're definitely not obvious, but at the top right of a non-quick-reply post, there are buttons to help you put the BBcode in for both links and images.

| Yeah, just in-case you didn't know you can use the [img] inside the [url][/url] if you'd prefer that, as well as text. Balufire is a good guy to PM about BBCode, he has a lot of experience with it. | |

| I'm not actually worried about the link--I was trying to get the image to show up, to tell the truth, and thought that the link might help. Is it showing up for you?
Oh, and Lyric told me they'll post in the morning.

| You'll want to use this method: [url=http://miirik.deviantart.com/gallery/][img]*chosen image link[/img][/url]
This is if you want to make the picture clicky to take you to your dA, otherwise you can just drop the url bit.

I'm sorry, I'm terrible with all this computer jazz.
