"Why, I have a bunch of gamebooks lying on my hard drive that I've never played. Meant to mine them for ideas. Heck, what if we were to rotate through as DM, as discussed in yon thread? Genre-hop a bit, trample- become attached to the setting...

"And here's hoping your boss(es) get things in order, Imperiex."

"Twas a flying circus, but in DnD form." Omni mentioned.

I notice that I'm trying to convince myself that narrating my side of a conversation is not at all a loser-y thing to do. This means I've already lost.

I also find myself confused. "What flying circus?"

"Twas a flying circus was an RP on the sporum based on a monty python sketch of the same name. Basically the concept was the RP was a hodgebodge of settings and timeperiods in a doctorwhoish fashion. But not at all related to doctor who."

Slumps into a puddle. "Should only be a few weeks and sweet sweet freedom. Or well more off days. I am so, so, so so so so, so.... So rusty with my RP'ing now, gonna be... Interesting to get back into the swing of things." Hops up and begins to swing on the figurative swing of things.

OMNI SMASHES IN THROUGH THE WALL. "MATA MADE ME A THING MATA MADE ME A THING MATA MADE ME A THING MATA MADE ME A THING. LOOK AT IT!" Omni proceeds to throw a link at everyone.

"The Mata Nui Online Game. An adventure game. Templar Studios made it and MNOLG 2. They're legendary among Bionicle fans, as far as I'm concerned, and for good reason.

"Both games are floating about online. Probably the cutscenes, too, if you'd like to take a quick look."

"Oh okay! What does that have to do with the camera angles though?"

"Oh, I was thinking that Templar had limited the amount of animation work they'd have to do by constraining the angles at which characters were seen. But by '03, they had Hahli looking around, which is about the opposite of that.

"Of course, the SFX and some visual animation tricks - timing, overshoot, - really helped sell the characters."

I have no concept of shame.

An RP where we start with the last post and have to RP backwards coherently. Posts would be read normally, but you'd just read them in reverse order.

That would take some fucking incredible ingenuity.

What if the characters we play in the RP are themselves doing the same thing we are, that is, rping a backwards RP. So we begin as the players celebrate after (before) beginning an RP of their own, which they see through to the beginning just as we see through it to the end. Then just as their RP closes we say goodbye to the characters who are just now beginning as they create their own characters whom we've been following for the whole RP.

Oh lord.
