Well, the latter reaks of terrible planning and or forethought, something I'd expect a warlord to be better at.

That might explain why you're basically then, making sure to waste your last coin sitting around in The Needy Mercenary's Tavern and Inn.

If i can just write down a little history here for my own reference...

Tzarreth was originally the product of a military draft in his homeland. After performing poorly in combat, but unable to show his skills as a leader due to his low rank, he was discharged. However, he had nowhere to go; his family wouldn't take back a son so dishonored (they never liked him much anyway), and he didn't have a lot of marketable skills. So, he went adventuring. His first time out with a party, they were overrun by a veritable swarm of kobolds, and the entire party died - save for Tzarreth, who managed to run away in time by a fluke of luck. That was a month or two ago. He's spent the remaining time in (name of town) in a half-drunk stupor, unwilling to disclose the details of the last mission, and pledging to make it up to his fallen comrades one day.

Works for me. Anyone who wants, you know, plot hooks thrown their way pertaining to their character, it is good if I get some kind of backstory.

I'll think of something then.

Backstory plot hooks are always fun. That's one thing that works so much better on a forum, because you have more time to work out the ramifications for that sort of thing.

I'll come up with something later on. Just had another round of family drama. Tempted to make a thread in the rant section. Can't think straight right now with this migraine. >_<

So far the concept for my character is pretty much an overly relaxed Dragonborn. No qualms about honor or ancient empires here.

But, why are you a barbarian? What lead to that being who you were? What made that what you devoted your life to?

Because he was born one.

One is not born, a barbarian. One is born, to a tribal village. Why did he take up the life of a barbarian? What caused him to leave his tribe?

Maybe the trible as a whole were barbaric? I dunno...

A tribe is not "barbaric" they're just a primal culture. A tribe would consist of many people, hunting, gathering, a chief, a shaman, many people. Just because they aren't civilized, doesn't make them easy to describe, or non-complex.
