| D'aww, it's alright. I hope that my posts aren't ending up filled with repetitive guff and the like, really short here too. >> | |

| Wow, falconry! I've heard of it, but I'm afraid I don't know much about it besides, well, being something about falcons. It sounds very interesting, though! Good for you!

| Good news, I found my old Adobe CS5 discs, so now that I no longer have school/college to bother me, I will have much more time to get practising with them once more. It's taken me a while to develop what I actually wanted the clip to look like in process, before I was merely thinking of how it would turn out. In the meantime while I'm waiting for the internet usage to switch over to the next month, I shall hopefully be getting in some drawing practise for Aelirsa. Thanks to Miirik and her epic depiction of her head, I have a reference to begin from now. | |

| Well, that settles it. I finally did a bit more research today, and I've settled for good on the crow as my soul animal. I also started seriously considering an iguana; lizards are, like me, not really noticed, not given much credit by people who don't take the effort to learn about them, though I found out today that they also have a surprisingly powerful bite and decently tough scales. Crows, though, aren't much more noticed either, and their advantages also quietly slip into the background for a lot of people, so they remain just as accurate. I chose a crow over an iguana because if I had chosen the iguana, that would have meant my soul was, sure, a little tougher than I thought before today (and totally herbivorous, which might fit since I try not to detriment others as I go along...plus, I like lizards a lot), but generally not shining with strength. The crow, though, has intelligence matched by only a few others in the animal kingdom. I felt that this was fitting to choose since my soul should be the part of me that knows what to do, that offers guidance and confidence and keeps me connected to the world around me (crows are more similar to humans - the way they interact with their families, think about the world - than iguanas are, after all). I feel that my weaknesses are confined to my usual self, while this other part of me fills in those weaknesses; it - she, I suppose - finds the solution where I go lost and offers a smile (as best as one can smile with a beak) and a guiding light if things turn bad or uncertain. At some point I might feel limited, inadequate, powerless - but she can fly up and up. I know that potential is there and that since I can't go flap my arms to get up to those heights, it must be some part of me that can; that part is greater than a land-bound creature. I'm aware that a lot of my conclusions for this come from jtc's example, how he says Ariadne has similarly guided him through life, but I still think it's pretty fitting. So that's that! A lot of feeling and, at the end there, a little bit of logic have revealed the probable truth, so there you have it. On an utterly and entirely unrelated note, I recently happened to overhear this song for the second time and figured it was fitting enough to mention: Link The song itself is merely okay quality, I believe (this is coming from someone who generally isn't too big a fan of any popular music), but the message is so uncannily accurate to Tem's feelings toward Kaldra that I thought it was worth pointing out. You know, except the part where he praises her hair. A couple other parts might be a little off too, but the main chorus is more what I'm talking about. The message is rather simplistic, so I'm a little less surprised than I might be, but still. Enjoy! | |

| Dude, that's awesome :D I'm really happy you found her (: Really beautiful and eloquent explanation!
Now just find a name for her that you both find meaningful~ If you want, of course :P
I like that song. I want to do like, a really dark but soulful rendition of it. Make it sad, but keep the beauty.

| Thanks! :) I'm glad to have that taken care of too, and that you like my explanation a lot. <3 I already explained some of my thoughts on my choice a while back, so I kind of just stuck to my newer thoughts this time. I'm going to have to wait on picking a name, though. I have no idea what I might choose! Still, I'd like to eventually pick one. | |

| Wow, I'm glad you figured out your animal! It seems very fitting for you based on your explanation. Good luck figuring out a name for her, I still haven't found one for my spirit guide the mountain lion. | |

| Thanks! Yeah, I'm pretty happy with my choice. I can't shake the feeling that there might be something out there that's a better match, but the chances are low, and I'd certainly admire a crow more than some random other thing I've never heard of. Thanks for wishing me luck! I wish you some, too. :) Feel free to take your time, though. (I know I will be!) | |

| Yeah, my idea was that while she's becoming more forward for the group, that her tendency to make decisions based on poor judgement is going to come back hard in future. So thanks to Jalines I was able to set the premise for that very effectively. :)
-recently been having dreams of a relationship forming there, o.o-
On that note, I think it's just telling me that leaving Aelirsa as someone who has no interest whatsoever is not a good idea, though as it's been discussed before there's not really much to be done about that. <<

| You know, I noticed that extra note there, Jokie, and I was just about to suggest that maybe you could change that little fact about Aelirsa. It was only in the OOC that you made her lack of interest really clear, I think, so you could shift Aelirsa's behavior in the IC pretty smoothly. :) | |

| Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Obviously there's a lot of things to learn about being social, and she doesn't know even half of the group well enough to make a decent judgement, it'd be fun to watch how she progressively makes things worse while still wanting to do the opposite.
It occurred to me that if there was something already going on, that her discovering that after the struggle to be more sociable and develop an interest in a relationship would make for some very good development. Then again, maybe I'm just trying to think too far ahead here.

| Hmm, what relationship are you thinking of? Right now it looks like she'll go for Ev, which would be fine. I was thinking, though - he already has two dragonesses thinking about him like that, which is already amazing given how he's the awkward one, so what if Aelirsa ended up going for someone else? Meaning Tem, since Val isn't very active, and I recall jtc saying Val wasn't interested in that either. It would certainly be an interesting conflict when Tem and Kaldra are already so close. But, since Aelirsa's already been clearly told about their bond, you might think it would be unrealistic for her to feel like trying for Tem, so of course you don't have to do that. Food for thought, though. :) | |

| Oh, I wasn't really going for the relationship between her and Ev, she doesn't know he has other admirers of course, but uh, in deeper thought I concluded that she wouldn't justify to herself ruining their fragile understanding by being forward.
That's actually a rather interesting idea, of course it probably wouldn't occur to her for a while, but with some outside events and influences guiding her toward that, I can see a form of vague triangle forming between the three.
Right now I think she's too preoccupied with trying to keep Ev in particular happy without upsetting everyone else, as well as trying to plan out what she intends to happen in the next questioning. Maybe she goes to Tem first in trying to secure his respect, and to herself goes a bit far in the process. I'll think about it.
Oh, silly me, I did want to add a lot more to my post, but I couldn't bring myself to ruin the effect that the last line had, at least to me. Just in case it seemed like it cut off a bit abruptly. :)

| Happy Halloween, everyone! As late as it is (only 50 minutes of the day left in my time zone), I thought it was worth shouting out. I hope you all had fun! :) | |

| November 1st here, not that I really celebrated it anyway. But I hope that you all had a great day!
Not sure if any of you are in the UK and celebrate Fireworks/Guy Fawkes Night, but in case you do I wish you a great day too. (Boring Australia, we don't celebrate that either, or Thanksgiving on top of that!)

| Well, we've got Australia Day, which is stuffing your face with as much barbeque food as you can, and the beach. Christmas works too I guess, all I see it for now is the good food.
By the way, I have no idea what I'm doing with Aelirsa at the moment, I think insane is the perfect word to describe it.

Hehe, I guess Tem is really perceptive today, then, Jokie. :)
EDIT: I understand if it isn't clear, but Jokie, I'm pretty much waiting for you to post next, since Aelirsa can respond to Tem and maybe Aressa and all.

| Yeah, sorry about that. I've just been out of sorts lately, most of what I write turns to slush, or just doesn't flow at all. Again, my apologies for holding everyone up, and I hope that I didn't let you down with what I was finally able to provide. | |

| Hey, it's perfectly understandable. I'm just coming to the end of a writing slump I've been in for quite some time. Plus, I've been pretty busy lately anyways, so it wasn't holding me up at all. | |

| Hey, sorry I haven't posted yet. The past few days have been really busy with a combination of schoolwork, studying, and other obligations. I should have some time tomorrow though, so I should have a post written then.
