I have an RP Idea, but I want to know if there would be a demand for it. The basic idea is that Humanity is split into three factions: Imperial Earth, The Republic, and the Rouge Planets (Basically independent worlds.) They fight with each other all the time, but the main threat is an alien race from elsewhere. If i make it I'll include more details, but right now I just want to know what others think of it.

I think I implied that there was some fucking going on between RD and Fluttershy before Fluttershy disappeared.

That literally doesn't make any fucking sense. Yeah, Canada's gonna go from spending most of the 10's and 20's being one of the most socially advanced nations in the world to being fascists. for sure.

It also scrambled the fuck out of North America's lore. So I had to deny it.

As far as been established: The period after The Great War resulted in similar economic growth for the states which soon fell apart due to mismanagement in corporate-built politics. The economic stunting also resulting in resistance movements in Florida against the "tyrannical control of the state" that played out until the 70's when they got independence.

In the meantime the nation swung to "union socialism" and then back when they only made things worse. Then Florida seceded.

Shortly after the Philippines seceded from US control. While going to reclaim in Canada turned their backs on the US and declared war on the US.

Having a shit military, and sloppily controlled the Canadians secured their occupation of the Great Lakes and the land west of the Mississippi.

Oil and Lumber barons in Canada then decided they had enough and seceded from Canada, threatening to go to war with them if they do not recognize. Canada recognized, and continued unhindered with the support of the new nation: the NWC.

After a short while the NWC got bored and withdrew from the war and begged the others to follow. A diplomatic conference saw to the end of the war and the restoration of all American lands occupied by Canada, except for Alaska which went to Canada.

Meanwhile in the Philippines China beats the US with a stick and shakes them off of the Philippines and back to the US.

Disgruntled after the failure of the Republican controlled government to do anything there was a second immense swing to the left. This time not going for a "union socialism" but a full force "Chinese-Inspired Socialism" that completely dismantled the traditional industrial set up and rebuilt it, imposed harsh tariffs on foreign manufacturers, and in general decided to protect its home-grown economic assets. It changed its name to the USSA and decided it was cool.

Then New England seceded yet again, got support from Canada and the NWC - who are very far right-leaning and anti-communist - as well as the Spanish to secure their security. The US tried to blockade them fledgling nation to force it back into the Union which resulted in the Second North American war that ultimately forced its way into Canada and forced the Canadians to surrender.

The NWC gas'd Seattle with VX, killing close to everyone which resulted in their occupation and soon the ceasing of their assets in a series of events to avenge Seattle.


Canada never broke apart, although it was led by the no-doubt insane Jaret Arnold (himself a reoccurring OC of Arnie, who controlled Canada through all of this).

So it was probably fairly close to a presidential dictatorship but it was never full on Nazi, nor had it ever broken up and then reformed to permit the NWC to exist. And it was never socialist.

Mexico also went Commie, but they're minor.

Canada also decided to throw money in a ship and sent it to Antarctica to research and build wind-farms to harvest electricity en'masse and send it to Canada.

This entire thing just confused me. A story of some kind with AU history?

It's an Alternate Reality RP. I don't know EXACLY what it's about. But eveyrone controls countries. It's pretty much Aaron's pride and joy.

and it sounds amazing. If it wasn't so hard to get into I would totally try to find a place.

The main difficulty right now would be to pick a suitable nation. The gold being the one with the least affected history or background. But given a year of activity those are very few and far between. I think I can only really count those on one hand.

Not without a lot of work and story-telling. And I don't think we're going to look at people playing as small nations going on the war path in a serious way. Especially after the Republic of Northern Florida and Feo's Switzerland.

I didn't say the war path. Going on the warpath is boring. A careful application of force is much more effective.

You know it's true. Find the weak point, hit a country already in a major war, and you can take it all.

True enough. Until one's side's war-goals exceed your own.

That's what treaties are for- you make a treaty when you hit their opponent, promising military support in exchange for land. Smart people follow their treaties- otherwise, you end up dealing with the problems for generations. Not just "That big nation hates me!", as in "No one wants to deal with me because they don't trust me."
