Okay, here's your starting tavern. Please tell me where you'd like be. The extensions on both sides are where the tables and such are, they're long tables, shut up I know this tavern is quite largeish, maybe, I don't know. The center, infront of the door (the line intersecting a square) is where the counter is located, and at the top left, there are stairs I haven't bothered detailing leading up to the second floor we won't worry about yet.

Oh, and as a rule, no one can have black, guys. That'd ruin my grid as soon as I had to change where you were.



This is the Needy Mercenary's Tavern and Inn, by the way.

The gray dot is the dwarven bar keep, he's a fairly famous ex hero. I'm going to be fleshing him out as we go on. His name is... Walhorn Wyrmsbane, he's slain dragons back in the day.

Two, walls, actually. Probably for the best, the right seems to be the Dragonborn section.

Put me somewhere where I can watch everyone and get a good laugh at whatever happens.

Considering the way the tavern is set up, that's not terribly possible.

Oh, and I take insult to the dwarve's name!! Ah, by the barkeep, swapping stories about "weird shit you see in a bar".

Sitting at the bar seems like it would give a pretty good view of both sides if you don't mind looking back.

That reminds me . . Ji, Ji, how much does a steel mirror cost? Can I just grab a couple from the D&D 3.5 PHB? Completely mundane item. Just a mirror. Nothing fancy. They're just really useful though . . .

How much does it cost in that handbook?

Take the cost of chainmail in 3.5, make it a ratio with the cost in 4. Then using said cost, ratio out the cost of the steel mirror.

Take all the offense you'd like, sir. He's only here because this is where his best friend and compatriot, his groups Dragonborn Paladin, is buried here.
